pretty much exactly the camera I'd like to buy right about now to replace my old base model sony, if it weren't in another system. sony just released some new models: the a850, which is a nice semi-pro full-frame 24mp, first full frame rig under 2 grand; and the a500/550, which I view as sort of high-end beginner cameras. neither quite fits the niche I am looking for....an new upgrade to the a700 would be ideal, but that may be a while. the a850 would be cool, but full-frame woud kinda ruin my best "digital" lens, and I don't really want to spend a whole 2 grand. I guess I can wait, or just buy a 700 at discount.

in any case, that 7d looks pretty sweet. :jealous:
