Dbaxx Den--Week 1:


I know the commissioners put a spin on the results of each game, but I like to put my spin on the games before they happen. If I tick you off, don't take offense--it's all in good fun. I will pick a few players from each game that will be the key to success and maybe a little razzin' who I think will not. Also, I will attempt to pick the matchup that will win. Here's a look at the way I see it for Week 1 of the CBFL:

Diggin at Clucking Birds:
The new guy gets to start out with the Clucker himself---pretty good matchup! But I see Diggin, diggin a whole to start the season. Cutler vs the Packers on Primetime will pull out a nice game as will Reggie vs the Jags. Santonio 30.10 pts on the bench might come back to haunt Mr. Diggin. The Cluckers are going have a ho-hum 300 yard day from Warner and Fitz will get a ton of yards and a couple of TD's as well. As of Friday, Westy & Barber are on the bench with Ced-Benson starting---ballsy move for the Birds. Clucks probably has the best trio of WR's in our league (if T.O. steps it up)....look for him to be a factor at the end of the year! Cluckers win by 20.


Playa Hata's at Dbaxx:
Ok, just so you know, whoever plays me is gonna get tongue lashed and your team is gonna lose! So Week One, Playa Hata's is going to be pinching his Tata's in frustration after this week. I will give him credit with Manning getting 300 and a few TD's and Gore running the Cards line like it wasn't there, but after that, don't expect much from a weak WR's crew and a depleted Def. gang. But DO expect rather large games from pretty much my whole solid lineup! MJD, DeAngelo---are you kidding me? Maybe a little bit of a reach with Ike Bruce, but again, the Cards Def., is nothing to brag about. Dbaxx wins by 35

Hand of Bone at Huskies:
The Hand has Brady back! He should throw a few llooooooonnnnggg scores to Moss in a fairly easy game for the Pats. I'm not gonna lie, after that, the Bones team is pretty Bone dry. RB's are pretty weak and WR's could use some help. You might wanna think of doing some major trading and rebuilding for next year. On the other Hand (no pun intended), the Huskies have put a pretty solid team together with Favre leading the helm and solid RB's. I see the Huskies winning by 30.

The Pron Stars at WWWarriors:
This is going to be a close matchup. The PS has LT & B Jacobs rackin' up a few TD's and 100 yards as well as the Dual TE combo (and I can see why after his WR depth) goin. Not much happening after that. The Warriors are relying on Homo for a big day as well as Timmy Hightower (love that guy!) WR's are a big stretch. WWWarriors might wanna go to WWW.thehuddle.com and see what WR's are good and which ones are bad to strengthen his team. I got the Stars winning by 8-10 in this matchup.

Yourgoindown at M & M:
The twin brothers are in a face off...(You guys have never seen them, but believe me--they are spittin' images of each other!) YGD has JJ on the bench of FWP...You don't bring me flowers...ANYMORE!?! Grant, Rivers and Eighty Five should have big games. Brees will light it up vs the Lions...as of Friday, Portis is on the bench, even vs the Giants Def., I would play him over Leon. I can see why you were trying to trade for some of my RB's in the offseason for more depth. But, it's your team buddy....YGD wins by 15.

Running Aces at godtomsatan:
The Aces will be off to a Running start in Week 1. Rodgers, Forte & S Jax will be putting the throttle to it and Moss will be catching bombs all day. Good team for the Aces---GTS will be wondering what hit him after the first week. Big Ben had a nice start and T & A Gonz will be the bright spot for this week. I like Knowshown over McFadden this week, but again--it's your team buddy. The Aces by 20+

Wow! I had no idea that our own Dbaxx had this kind of prognostication in him! Nicely done!

Ok, the first week is in the books---I picked 4 outta 6 correctly, not bad but not great.. YGD winning by 15 was a little off as was my 35 point stomping of Playa. Oh well...Week 2 is right around the corner. I'm just happy that football is here to stay for the next 4 months.

Yeah I just squeaked by the commish starting the wrong players. My efficiency was only 60%. I need to do better this week.

But on the bright side, you had a full line-up and all you players actually play in the NFL right now
