Motown Maulers vs. Hammer of the Gods

As the good Doctor said in a different thread, he is in rebuilding mold. Going up against the all pro lineup that Grunge has put together may help build character for the Maulers. It definitely won’t help their win loss percentage. Gods continue their hammering ways.

Hurricane Lombardi vs. The Color Purple

Big advantage to Chavez at the QB position. I remember the last time a DB talked trash about Brady and the Patriots. Things didn’t work out so well. On the surface it appears that Gaddis has an advantage at RB given that Fast Willie Parker has played himself straight to the bench in one week. His replacement for Hurricane, Chester Taylor, is a sneaky play this week. If the Vikings are up big against the Lions (or should I say ‘when’), Taylor will probably spell Peterson a good amount. Both of these teams are running the two tightend set this week. I give the slight edge to Chavez here too. The key to The Color Purple’s chances this week may lie squarely in the slippery hands of Braylon Edwards. Oh my…

1957 and Waiting vs. Ditka’s Demons

Drew Brees will NOT throw for 6 touchdowns to carry Puddy this week (am I supposed to type in the third person for these unsure.gif ). Going against the Eagles defense on the road is not the same as playing the Lions at home. Roethlisberger got a nice upgrade this week with Urlacher going out for the Bears (I’m sure Tom would rather have him healthy anyways). I’ll give myself a slight edge at RB with Turner and Chris Johnson over Westbrook and Julius Jones. Neither team has a great stable of receivers, with both of our number one’s (Housh and T.O.) still getting acclimated to their new teams.

This is a pick’em game but I refuse to ride the fence.

Wayne Fontes International Fan Club vs. The Great Grabowskis

Jay Cutler and Jason Cambell think.gif Push shrug.gif
I like Goops running backs this week. DeAngelo and Thomas Jones have tough matchups however. Egret needs Caddy to stay healthy (Oh and I love that he’s the TB running back I dropped before the season while holding on to the other two glare.gif ) Goop also wins the WR battle as Calvin Johnson has a good game at home this week. I do feel Dallas Clark will have a hugh game for Fontes with Gonzalez being out.

4 Star Sweetness vs. ARodg Says F You

Ladanian is out. While Gore and Lendale are nice I think MJD and Jacobs offer more this week. Aaron Rodgers at home against the Bengals promises to be a bonanza for Fatman. Matt Ryan has a nice matchup as well but with Roddy White on Fatman’s squad Pope may see those points offset. I give F You an edge in the WR/TE combination as well (just because Michael Clayton is in Pope’s lineup. He was a better movie than WR).

GAME OF THE WEEK

Titletown of Lambeau vs. Valhalland Drive

Can Romo outscore Rivers again this week? He is in primetime this week and that’s not always a good thing for the former Mr. Simpson. Big John gets to take advantage of Fred Jackson still being the main ball carrier in Buffalo for another couple of weeks. I still like Savage’s RB’s better however. We get to witness the big Arizona receivers on opposite sides of the field this week. Is Boldin healthy enough to ‘get his’. If not this may be a long night for Titletown. Good game but…

clap.gif Bravo! I think you're being generous in my matchup: while I am awaiting word on Kevin Walter I think Reggie Wayne is in for a long night.

I like the third person thing. This whole exercise is kind of a pseudo newspaper column in "Earth Norris" (chavev should get that nerd.gif ) so 3rd person reinforces that angle of entertainment IMO. Besides, I think it's healthy to skeeve when writing about yourself in the 3rd. I never trust anyone who does that casually. unsure.gif

I got you a defense. And I raise you Run DMC.

Puddy may not be able to change a tire but he knows FF strategerizing.
