I'm confused, one owner has a player on IR, but that player is only suspended the first three games of the season. Can we put suspended players on IR and use their bench spot, then call the suspended play back up after the suspension?

I glanced at the rules, but didn't see anything on IR (may have missed it if it's under another topic, though). Most leagues I'm in that have IR do not allow suspended players to be put on IR, but I'm not sure about this one.

I am not a big IR fan, as there is no way to set up MFL exactly how you want it... you have to have somebody basically "police" it manually, or it can be abused. Not saying, necessarily, that that's what is happening here... we need a ruling on what constitutes an IR player.

Might want to add it to the rules as well, if indeed it is not covered.

Our rules has always been that the player has to be listed on the injury report as OUT or actually be placed on the NFL team's IR. MFL is making things confusing this year, by listing suspended players as OUT instead of SUSPENDED as they have in past years. They are actually not OUT on the injury list, so they are not eligible. I am going to keep a closer eye on the IR this year since we never eliminated it during the off season.

Let's make a point to vote and get rid of IR for next season.

I'm the offending party. Feel free to call me out and I'll gladly change it smile.gif

Lynch was listed as Out and in the past I was using the simple rule of MFL showing Out meaning the player is elligible for I.R.

IR questions came up last year, I'm all for removing it all together and removing the confusion it has caused over the years.

We could say only players actually on IR or just get rid of it altogether. I hate having to worry about getting a player back on the active roster when he moves to doubtful or whatever.
Gopher
I'm 100% in favor of getting rid of it.
