Each year I notice more and more schools (or fans of the schools) throwing up what basically amounts to gang signs. I don't mean this in a negative sense, just that I never really remembered that being as big as it has become this past decade. Anyone else notice this? Maybe I just wasn't paying attention? or maybe they just have more airtime to show the fans in the stands and pre-game?

Anyway, here are the ones I have seen. Some may be old, some new... I'm just compiling a list. If I miss some add yours.

Longhorns - hook'em horns
FSU - Warchant
Texas Tech - Guns
U of Fla - Gator chomp
U of M - the "U"

I know I have seen others, just can't think of them right now... so add to this list.

okay, I see many have viewed this, but none have added, so...

I saw yet another one this weekend with Univ. of Houston. After the victory against Texas tech, they fans charged the field and with the camera panning over most of them, they were holding up 3 fingers with the thumb holding down the "ring" finger... WTH does that mean? I'm curious.

Does your school have a gang sign?

Uh, that would be The Shocker. Not sure if it has some meaning at UH I'm unaware of, but it's one of those "sex moves" like the Cincinnati Bowtie or the Angry Dragon.

I follow the Wisconsin Badgers, if UW has a gang sign, we're mostly too hammered to remember it or have the fine-motor skills to do it properly.

Is hook 'em horns any different than the sign of the cross? unsure.gif

I watched a game the other day and the Compton Community College West Siders were out of control with that crap.

Nest thing you know, they'll be running around the field looking to hit anyone wearing the wrong color uniform. This crap is out of control.

Or the Switzer-coached Sooners.
