Here are our rules per MFL (REPORTS/RULES/BYLAWS) on IR:

Injury Replacements
Passed 8/20/04 - IR will be defined as on the NFL IR list. You may have a maximum of 3 players on IR through the season. They may not be moved off of IR to your team's active roster until the season is over. If, however, a player designated as an IR for one team is traded to another.....the acquiring owner has the right to place that player either on their active roster, practice squad (if eligible), or IR. IR players may also be dropped to Free Agency.

If I put 3 players on IR, then drop one, may I put someone else on IR?

I am placing J Phillips on IR. If the answer to the above question is NO, I want him dropped instead of IR. I'm doing it in this fashion so it won't hinder me time-wise from picking up a replacement player.

Thanks.

Well, I guess I need to go to the board on this one as I cannot IR someone on MFL. The player I'd like to pick up is Aaron Rouse, S, NYG

I interpret this rule as a yes, if you have three players on IR but drop one of them then you have an open IR slot and can put someone else there. However, it could lead to you then readding the dropped player no longer on IR, which would then break the rule. whacko2.gif I don't see this potential issue being a serious problem though, since the player is on NFL IR and thus wouldn't help your team anyway.

So that being said, can you do the IR move? I couldn't do it. Also, while you're at it, throw Rouse to my squad. (if you don't mind)

Thanks

There is no problem dropping an IR player, FW. But DoJ is right........YOU cannot re-add him to your active roster. Someone else can pick him up and stash him this year(either on IR or active). But you can only add him back to your roster if you re-add him to your IR.

OK? smile.gif
