I am dropping Alex Smith who has a 1 year contract. Please make the necessary adjustments.

What are the adjustments? If we drop a guy with a 1 year deal, we dont get a year back correct?

That's why we have the dead years QB...we use that to track the loss of contract years that aren't indicated because the player (In this case Alex Smith) is no longer on the roster
