We've had two bye-weeks so far, and already, three different owners have failed to submit complete lineups. Last week, I faced a team with one RB and a second WR on a bye. This week, an owner fielded a starting lineup with FOUR (out of eight total) players on byes. blink.gif I'm not going to rant about this week after week, but PLEASE, let's try to make this league both competitive and fair... it's not fair to the rest of the league when people don't start a full lineup, or in some cases, anything CLOSE to a full lineup.

I'm always available if need be... if there is a reason why someone can't get online to submit a lineup, there are other options. Text me if nothing else. I just don't get why someone would leave multiple bye-week players in their starting lineup, other than due to an unforeseen emergency. I realize that this league has fairly stringent roster/lineup requirements, but I don't believe that they are so much so that owners can't figure out a way to field eight starters each week. smash.gif

I noticed that as well and that absolutely sucks for the other owners/teams who actually have to play to get a win. I think as comish, you might have to be proactive and check lineups on Sunday and maybe make a phone call. If the same owner does it twice- get rid of him/her and get someone that actually wants to compete. I know that sucks that you might have to do that, but it is at least fair to the other owners.

I saw this also and agree it is pretty lame. I might have a problem Thanksgiving week as I don't have a laptop or internet on my cell phone. I'll try and check into the main thread from my brother's PC. If I can't, I'll make sure I at least have my lineup set before I leave.

guilty as charged. but it was a drafting error by me that led to the situation i had. and after seeing that there were no suitable players to sub in and a huge risk of losing my current players, i decided to go ahead with the bye week players. im not going to drop a stud just so i can get a 'starter' in his place and maybe get 5 pts. it was by no means tanking. i was 4-0. just bad drafting.

I would say that makes sense, if it was just one player, and you didn't have any better options on your bench. But, you did... I hate to call you out on this, and like I said, you're certainly not the only one to have done this... But, you could have started Housh or Ward instead of Bennett, at the very least, not to mention Betts instead of either Sproles or Forte. I'm not going to get into whether Anderson, Sproles, and Jones are too valuable to drop in this league... that's your call. But, there is also always the possibility of making a trade to fix the bye-week issue.

Maybe your draft did put you in a position where you knew you were screwed for Week 5, but at least put the guys who ARE playing in your lineup, no? shrug.gif Like I said, you're not the only one, so don't take offense to me "calling you out." I just couldn't help but respond, when I saw that you basically defended leaving 36 points on your bench with four bye-week guys in your lineup. At least we're "lucky" enough that you lost by more than that, so it wouldn't have changed the outcome of the game. But, in this league, playoff berths/seedings can very well come down to total points, so I guess you shot yourself in the foot in that sense. think.gif

By the way, we currently have two teams with incomplete lineups for tomorrow... I've sent both owners messages, and will check again in the morning. busted2.gif

That's pretty much all you can do unless it becomes a recurring problem with the same team(s).

the earl bennett start was a mistake. no offense taken by calling me out, you have to as the commish. like i said, it was a one week thing due to bad drafting.
