Week 5
Strange days during the bye-weeks, the plethora of game-time-decisions, last minute benchings and unexpected breakout games. Most of these result in points left on the bench and sometimes mean the difference between a W and an L. Sometimes I wish it was a “best ball” format where it takes my best players after the fact. Then I remember who I play with and like it the way it is! sneaky.gif But enough about me and how awesome my team is , you only care about your teams and how they did! So without further adieu…

Hand of Bone (2-3) 190.6 vanquishes Youre Going Down (2-3) 179.74
HoB extends their win streak to 2 as the YGD squad has dropped the last 2. The Bone must be pleased to have Lynch pickle.gif back as he, Housh, Addai, Brady and Ruud paced the team this week. YGD countered with Shaub, H. Ward and Dallas Clark but a late scratch of Durant and poor play at RB proved to be the difference. Both teams look to even their record next week but really only YGD stands a chance. sneaky.gif
Gameball- J. Addai

Clucking Birds (2-3) 200.88 victorious versus godtomsatan (2-3) 176.86
The Birds jump back to their winning ways this week against a solid GTS squad. Perhaps the addition of Braylon Edwards and fear the he would break all their eggs by dropping them inspired a victory? The Birds were led by the desert birds, Warner and Fitz, as well as AP and K. Morrison. But maybe a little too much Jets love as KWII was on the bench for Dustin (0.00) Keller! GTS was unable to take advantage of solid outings from Big Ben, Moreno and J. Harrison. The team was hurt by a tough bye week and the disappearance of Mason and Mario. missing.gif
Gameball- K. Morrison

Dbaxx (1-4) 202.4 voids M&M (4-1) 137.42
In the battle of the desert an upset was brewing as the winless Dbaxx squad visited the favored M&M team. M&M was ripe for an upset as the All-World QB, D. Brees, was on a bye. However some dubious line-up decisions may have been to blame as well. thmbdn.gif With Beason, K. Smith, Fasano and Santana Moss watching from the sidelines the M&M squad came up just short despite solid days from Portis and Willis but not D. Jackson and Cooley. Ooof sadbanana.gif . Dbaxx was led in the upset by Cassell, Burleson, Shianco and Ellison despite playing and injured Bryan Scott over DRC. doh.gif Team Dbaxx is hoping to build on this win as the offense finally seems to be producing. thmbup.gif
Gameball- Burleson

Playa Hatas (5-0) 228.78 invalidates Huskies (2-3) 204.68
Two teams ravaged by bye weeks and game time decisions. nutkick.gif The undefeated Playa Hatas play it safe with the G.T.D.s and pull out their 5th straight win while the Huskies give them a game. Playa was led again this week by Peyton as well as Marshall and Welker. The Huskies ran with Collie and Rice and Carter (I really need a better cliché for the Huskies and Collies ) . Tough loss to swallow for the Dawgs as they had the 4th highest score of the week wedgie.gif . Curiously and despite the “man-love” T. Davis was on the bench in this match-up . Hmmm think.gif . In a losing cause…
Gameball- R. Rice

Diggin (3-2) 199.84 vaporize WWWarriors (0-5) 142.68
W3 remains winless as the Digging squad pulls their record over .500. Despite failing to actually assign contracts to new players, whistle.gif the Diggin squad was able to win again behind Mendenhall, Wayne, Ray Lewis and their FNG, Stroud. The tri-dubs were hampered by bye weeks and failed to field a full line-up at DB tumbleweed.gif . Odd since they had R. Barber available. doh.gif x2. Regardless, Romo, Heath Miller and Hightower tried to win while Sims-Walker was MIA. coach.gif It may have been a good week to give the rookie, Maclin, a start. Another loser with a
Gameball- Romo-Simpson

And now, the game you have all been waiting for (and not just because it was mine)…

The Game of the Week helmet.gif
Running Aces (4-1) 234.44 violates Pron Stars (3-2) 232.18
I  Keith Bullock! The Pron Stars behind strong outings by Matt Ryan, AJ, Tuck and Brooking rolled into Sunday night with a 20+-point lead. This was despite K. Rivers big donut, and weak starting calls in the secondary but with only one opponent to go and holding the high score of the week, the Stars were feeling their cocky about getting the win yeah.gif . After all Keith Bullock had yet to top 16 points this year. The Aces had already put up quite a few points behind McNabb, Bradshaw and Daniels. One can imagine the horror as KB picked off a Manning pass and raced to the end and repeatedly was in on tackles for the Titans whack.gif . When all was said and done the Aces had prevailed. No word yet from the Stars GM if Rivers will be cut after his sorry outing smashpc.gif . Making matters worse is the Stars had the 2nd highest score of the week. crybaby.gif Ouch! lulz On the bright side, had the Aces started their waiver pick up this week, it wouldn’t have been close. And yet another loser with a
Gameball- R. White

Bastage of the Week
- Roddy White, Pron Stars (43)
Defensive Bastage of the Week- K. Morrison, Clucking Birds (31)
Rat Bastage- Keith Rivers, Pron Stars (0.00)
Bench Bastage Bonanza- Miles Austin, Running Aces (47.96)

I think I counted three Keith Bullock tackles on that last drive when the Colts were running out the clock. That had to be painful to watch...

Every time the Colts lined up on offense I'm looking for the Titan with the arm bands. I could almost see AGs face when Bullock was returning that INT and headed to the endzone. scared.gif

yeah, that last drive was hard to watch....if Bullock tackled Reggie Wayne one yard further back the Colts punt and I win...

why does Keith Rivers hate me?
