Wow, seems like the draft was only last week. So, where we at? Post yer thoughts here.

I was expecting a mundane to awful season but so far it's been the opposite. 4-1? blink.gif But for Mason Crosby's last minute FG at the Metrodome, that would be 5-0. Can't be too mad about that, I started the night only 4.5 points up and expected to lose before the half but still, you gotta hate it when the knife finally goes in with just seconds on the clock. laughing.gif

Mendenhall and Rice are panning out pretty well, trading for A Johnson has worked out nicely (as has the other half of the trade - P Manning went to Dug), plus Steve Smith (NYG) has been great. Happy with Schaub too. Not a bad team but vulnerable to injury and byes.

As far as the league goes, it's well up to the usual standard. 10 teams have at least two wins and only one is 0-5. Special mention and g-bow.gif to FWmaker's mighty 5-0 Two Flush Minimum.

With eight weeks and nine games (doubleheader in week 13 already assuming hugh significance), everyone is still in it with a shot.

Good luck all - unless you're playing me that week. smile.gif

All I know is it seems my division is a juggernaut.

I'm as excited about the Pyle's future as I've ever been....really like the Moreno pick in the 1st round, the kid is a player.

Edwards to the Jets helps the team's chances, and Marshall is another solid WR.

I hope to be tough for anyone to play against.

Didn't we trade A Johnson and Randy Moss shrug.gif If so then g-bash.gif on my part
FWmaker
While I'm sitting pretty at 5-0, there are 4 others who are averaging more ppg than team Two Flush Minimum. I had a good draft, especially depth-wise. That's what I'm banking on. And, while I'm certain I can be beaten almost every week, with the lead I've built, I'm hoping that I can outlast the competition and get into the playoffs.

You're right, of course. I simply dropped Manning. The trade did work out nicely though....depending which way you look at it I guess. shades.gif

Very strange season, the entire Fire & Rain division is averaging less then all of the other 8 teams. That must be the defensive league shades.gif
Hat Trick
I get what I deserve for keeping LJ. That said I am going to start him AGAIN on a hunch huh2.gif

Um, I am a homer, but I don't like him. I tried to trade for a RB before the draft but I wasn't going to overpay.

Looks like Larry had his best game of the year shades.gif

Men In Tights
I wanted to reply prior to week 6 but that did not happen. What can I say. The Tights are sitting at 3-3, have given up the most points in Outraged and are in the top 4 (I believe) for points scored. I had a much brighter outlook of my team prior to PIerre Thomas getting hurt and Matt Forte deciding he could no longer run the ball. My biggest mistake was taking one of the most overrated WR's in Roy Williams because I am sure there were better options on the board at that time.

Outlook after week 6. I am hoping Pierre gets to 100%, Forte gets back to last years performance and the undervalued Driver cntinues to put up numbers I like my chances the rest of the year. I mean sooner or later teams will cool off against me and the points against should come back to reality.
