Hey guys, I have a starting lineup question. Our rules only list the following possibilities for lineups:

Package Positions
Pro Set 1QB,2RB,3WR,1TE,1K,2-3DL,2-3LB,2-3DB
Wishbone 1QB,3RB,2WR,1TE,1K,2-3DL,2-3LB,2-3DB
Run and Shoot 1 QB, 1 RB, 4WR, 1 TE, 2-3 DL, 2-3 LB, 2-3 DB

I know that somewhere along the way we decided to allow 2 TEs in a lineup. I also know that we can use 2/2/2 or 1/3/2 (RB/WR/TE) but why can we not use 3/1/2? Nobody would argue that benching a WR for a TE is *usually* an advantage. This week I am probably only going to have 1 WR (I might only have 1 TE as well) and it would be nice to be able to start 1 WR and 2 TEs if the need was there. Basically, I am wondering why we're able to start from 1-3 RBs yet we are forced to start 2 WRs regardless? Maybe a 3RB/1WR/2TE formation and we can call it "GOAL LINE"? biggrin.gif

this is something that should be discussed and voted on in the off season. Plus according to the rules - if it is decided to allow that sort of lineup - it won't be available until 2011. But it is certainly worth discussing. I will pin this and change the title to possible new rules.
