I made a very large oversight that thankfully was brought to my attention during Monday Nights game. I take full responsibility for it, as I just simply overlooked it. Darren Sproles returned a kick for 77 yards for a score, giving him 9 more points than I gave him credit for. His total for the game was 10, and therefore Kobra Kai defeated Nashville Disasters 107-102

I once again would like to apologize to both MEng and brian2. I just simply screwed up, and am very happy it was brought to my attention, and obviously encourage everyone to do there own scoring for the game, so I can correct any mistakes I may have. I rarely make big mistakes like this, but when I do I must own up to it and correct it.

MEng
no worries
thanks for being prompt to correct things!
and thanks for doing the scoring each and every week

Wait a minute...

I have always been under the impression that kick returns count for the defense/special teams, not the individual players. It has been this way for years.

If we're now going to change the rules mid-stream, I'm out. Seriously. I've had individual players return kicks for TDs before and they didn't get the individual points.

You were right the first time.

Let's keep it right or find yourself another coach.

From the Constitution:

-Defense/Special Teams: 1 pt per sack, 1 pt per interception, 1 pt per fumble recovery, 5 pts per 25 int return yards, 5 pts per 100 kick return yards, 6 pts for a td, 9 pts for a td of 50 yards or over, and 2 pts for a safety.

wow. this will be interesting to see. to be 100% honest i've been under the impression if u start a player and he scores a touchdown, NO MATTER HOW IT IS, if its a wr, rb, qb, if it's on a fumble, a kick return, punt return, whatever, ive been under the impression that he is awarded those points. luckily, i have no say in the final ruling so it doesn't matter. will be interesting to see how this plays out.

I have always counted it for individual players. ALWAYS. That constitution, was never written by me, or even anyone consulted with me at the time. I've done the scoring for almost 11 full years, never once have i not counted it for individual players as well. I understand you are upset, but this has been the way it has always been done. I can cite many many cases where this has been the case.

And furthermore, I guarantee you cannot find a single instance, where one of your players returned a kick for a td, that it didn't get counted

Good, then I'm out.

If this is what this league has turned into, I don't want any part of it. I have tried to pick up kick returners before in this league and get points added, and I was ALWAYS told it counted for defense/special teams, not individual players.

Thanks for giving me a reason to go.

It's been real.

I would like to point this out again, being that in 2004, I had been doing the scoring every single year up until that point, and since that point....

THE END:

-Any action in gWpFFL not mentioned in the constitution is subject to the review and ruling by the commissioning council! Everything that is mentioned is subject to be ammended.

Not one time, was I ever consulted over anything, when I was the one that put the scoring in place to begin with. Now this becomes an integrity issue with me, because I have never EVER ripped off anyone out of points they didn't earn. And even in THAT VERY GAME, I counted Eddie Royal's kick return td, and completely overlooked Sproles. Again, an honest mistake by me, there's no doubt about it, and I'm sad to see it have to go down this way, but you and I both know, that if I correctly scored it at the time, instead of catching the mistake 2 days later, then you wouldn't have thought twice about it. Now if you think that I'm out to screw people, then there isn't anything I can say or do to change your opinion on that, but I can assure you, that I've ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS scored individual kick/punt returns for td's. Forever and always.

In other words, you can't provide an example where you got ripped off out of points? It's because one doesn't exist. WHEN did I EVER tell you that? I've known you for 8 years, when did that conversation happen?
mr. b00m
rofl. ever since i've played in this league any player u start that scores a td on special teams gets points counted toward them. it's like that in most leagues actually im suprised you didnt know this b2.
