Since we are now in a league that can't even manage its own scoring properly, and I have lost a game due to a rule that I have never seen be used to anyone's benefit before, I resign as Disasters coach effective immediately.

I have spent nine years in this league, and I've enjoyed my time. However, these circumstances make it impossible to continue in this league, so I am leaving.

I hope you all enjoy your teams and the league.

I will no longer be checking this board or #gwp.

Thank you.

I really hope you reconsider. You're a good friend, and have been for 8 years. However, I cannot let someone question my integrity. I've always scored it like that, and never ONCE did I EVER deny you points. EVER. It didn't happen, and you know it. I understand that you're upset about this whole thing, but the accusations you made were simply false. Again, I hope you reconsider your decision. You're one of the brightest gWpFFL owners ever, and I've recently called you the smartest of us all, and meant it.

I came back to mention one more thing about how stupid this rule (which I didn't know about until this week, despite being here for 9 years) is, then I'm done.

In this league, we count D/ST AGAINST our opponents. How is it right to have the Chargers TD count AGAINST someone who was playing the Chargers AND count FOR Meng, who has Sproles? It's one way or the other. It's not both. Imagine if Meng had the Chargers D AND Sproles. I get double-f'ed for that TD. Not at all fair.

As I mentioned, I picked up some guys back in 2002-03 that were mainly known for their kick return prowess and was told that KR TDs didn't count for them, they counted for D/ST. That is, after all, the entire point of playing D/ST.

Offensive players get points for offensive statistics. Defense/special teams gets points for defensive and special teams statistics. Again, one or the other. Not both.

Now I'm out. Again, enjoy your league, everyone.

whether you ever read this or not, even if you're playing in a yahoo league, if you have a return man and he scores a TD and he's your WR, he gets the points. az zahir hakim used to get pts as a WR and punt returner, dante hall used to get pts as a kick returner and punt returner and wr. theres numberous guys that used to. and considering darren only scored 10 pts total, 9 on one play, i wouldnt call that getting effed. if someone has to start a guy who's a top notch PR/KR, chances are he's NOT going to be a top notch RB/WR at the same time. devin hester is another one. idk, it's always been that way. its that way in every league ive ever been in. as a side note, since i had both steve slaton and matt schaub last week, and schaub threw a TD To slaton, since that's only technically one score, should only matt or only steve get it, or should both? although its only ONE td, it's TWO separate roster spots, so it counts twice.

Again, you make these accusations, and can't back them up at all, which brings my integrity into question. I can't get over the fact that I've done scoring for every single game, for 11 years, CREATED the scoring system myself (which I've never denied is unique, stupid according to you, and thats your opinion, but unique nonetheless) and somehow all of the sudden I don't know what I'm talking about. It's ALWAYS been that way, each and every time. Your opinion is your opinion. you want to say the rules you've played by for 9 years suck, then that's your opinion, and not once did I put a gun to your head and make you stay. You always knew where the door was if you didn't like the scoring.

I would like to once again apologize for the way this all came about, because as I said it was a glaring oversight on my part (I gave AddedFX credit for Eddie Royal's td, and not Sproles, so clearly it was a mistake that I corrected) . I will not apologize for scoring these games and having the correct scoring. Someone has to win, someone has to lose. I myself have been on top, and been on the bottom, and everywhere in between. Everyone in this league has. It's certainly not fair to MEng, who rightfully won the game vs you to do things your way (the way it has never been done mind you) . What is fair is the way it was done and corrected. MEng won. End of story. I once again want to thank you for your participation in gWpFFL for 9 years. You always have a spot should you change your mind. But I will not ever let anyone call my integrity into question when it comes to this league. Certainly not after scoring all 772 gWpFFL league games in it's history, several of which I'm sure, the Nashville Disasters got credit for a player on there squad scoring a kick/punt return td.
