So what do you think ? I think this is going to be a great series. Both teams have power, solid pitching . What do you think will be the deciding factors ? I am thinking the bullpens. Mariano is gold, set up men have been dicey. I honestly dont follow the Phils a great deal but know they had some closer issues. What says the the huddle ? How do you see this series playing out ?
If the Yankees bats don't wake up they're gonna lose. If they do, they're gonna win.
If Cole Hamels is dominant, the Phillies have a great chance.

Before the post season started I said the Yankees were going to win. After seeing the playoffs so far, I am going to say the Phillies repeat. Their starting pitching has been off the hook and their bats just as good. I say Philly in 6
God I hope the Phillies win but if Arod & CC keep rolling I say Yanks in 6.
Rooting for Cliff Lee & CC Sabathia (for obvious reasons).

Wont be surprised if this series went 7......Both teams have powerhouse offenses that can explode at any giving moment......But I gotta go with the Phils...Not just b/c im a fan but I think this team has the "IT" factor and they know how to win...Im gonna enjoy every moment I can with this team...LETS GO PHILS!
Heres to hoping the Phils win back to back championships

RIght, you thinking the Phils have the "IT" factor has nothing to do with you being a fan.

I think if the Yankee bats wake up it will be over quickly.
Matsui, Tex and Posada have to start hitting.

As do Rollins, Utley and Ibanez for the Phils. Outside a hugh hit here and there, none of these guys had a consistent NLCS.
If Lee can split his starts with Sabathia, and turn this into a 5-game series, I think he Phils have a great shot.

To me the keys are Hamels and Arod. If Hamels pitches like he did last year in the WS the Yanks could be in trouble and Arod needs to continue hitting and not go 2-20. It will be an exciting Series possibly the best we had in a while.

As a Cleveland fan this game makes me kinda sick watching Lee vs CC.
Cliff Lee has looked great! Did you guys see the way he caught that pop up last inning? So carefree as if he didn't even care if he caught it or dropped it.

Pretty much. Dude was just filthy.
after game one...the series is now underway because I don't see Pedro doing this to the Yankees...
any pitcher in this series not named Lee will get pummelled....
here's to hoping Lee pitches game 4 and we keep Blanton as an option for relief pitching because lord knows we need a quality pitcher when one of our starters gets abused (see: Hamels)

I have a feeling pedro is gonna handle himself tonight....I know the Yanks are gonna come out desperate and try to put the Phils to bed early tonight but I think pedro has alot that he wants to prove....What better way to go into Yankee Stadium and get a win in game 2 of the world series to put your team up 2-0 against the freaking YANKEES.....This is your chance to silence the "who's your daddy" chants, Lets go PayyyyyDROOOO!!

Great series so far. Phillies certainly not in awe of the Yanks and did what they needed to do by snagging a game at the stadium. Tomorrows game is hugh.
happy with the split and getting so many pitches out of CC in game 1. love the 5-game series with 3 in philly left and a win in NY in everyone's mind.
plenty of pressure on hamels for sure. both sides need to get their bats going more consistently.
go phils!!!

When Andy doesn't have it he also doesn't find it, Giradi better get his azz out of there before this gets out of hand.
Not so sure that I would've been able to change that call from a double to a HR for A-ROD as that ball may not have made it out.
