It's a 48 hour deadline, which is usually 1:00pm EST on Friday for Sunday games.

I am curious though, since the games are starting at 2:00pm EST tomorrow due to DST one could argue that since we have an extra hour in the day tomorrow the trade was made within the 48 hour deadline think.gif

Truff. It really doesn't matter to me honestly, I just recall a trade I made in HFA that had to wait because it was posted at 1:04. I was more just bustin then anything, seriously

Ugh, sorry guys, I blasted that through without looking.

The Daylight Savings Time argument is interesting, but since it isn't real time (just because we say the time is an hour ahead from where it was, doesn't mean that hour actually elapsed), I don't think we should push it through.

Trade is back to an "Awaiting Commish approval" stage in MFL.

Again, apologies, didn't look.

Not a big deal for me at all either beerchug.gif Didn't even think about the DST thing till I was looking to see what time one of my player's games were tomorrow. A deadline is a deadline though, so if we missed it then by all means the deal should be put on hold.

The extra hour of sleep tomorrow will be nice though yay.gif

Another safety? Wow that makes 7 and I think you have 2 on DTS.

You're cornering the market man. laughing.gif

Force is giving up 1 of his safities, and they aren't corners so he wouldn't be "cornering" the market it would be securing laughing.gif

Yep, but I also have a bit of a corner on the CB market as well laughing.gif

Also, and again not that I care at all and I am not sure if Savage was intending to use Lewis this week or not, but regardless of the time change don't we now have until 2:00pm EST to post trades starting this week since the rule is 48 hours and the games have now been moved to 2:00pm EST? Since the post was made at 1:26pm EST (which doesn't change even with the DST switch) that would make it legal, correct? Or am I totally confused on this time zone thing?

I cam across something though that is confusing me when I was thinking about this, which all started when I went to check whether a player I had was in a late or early game and noticed the switch of the start times. I live in PHX currently and we do not adjust our clocks for DST, in the fall / winter we would be considered MST and in the spring / summer PST. What I don't get is that when I lived in CA the games would be pushed up an hour after the DST change occurred to account for the 2:00pm EST start times, so instead of 10:00am PST before the switch they would start at 11:00am PST, I just realized that in PHX the games also get pushed up an hour and will start at 11 on Sunday. How is that possible if after the DST change PHX will only be 2 hours behind the East Coast, shouldn't they start at noon? think.gif unsure.gif Does this make any sense? Or I am I just losing it or not getting something whacko2.gif unsure.gif The games are broadcast live, so how is that they can be broadcast live at the same time in 2 places that are an hour apart? Yeah, chew on that laughing.gif

Not sure where you are getting that the games start at 2:00 pm EST.

DST business aside, and I won't try to understand it because I'll fail. All I know is that my huddle time shows 11:26 am MST and next week's games start at 11 am MST.

I don't really care either way guys.

Phoenix Force, my apologies for not getting here to acknowledge the trade in time... I was helping my son in his Kindergarten Halloween party. I should have just posted the trade myself and had you agree to it. Sorry about that.

Never mind... I just looked at the TV guide listings at it was showing the games starting at 11:00am for LA, but now it shows 10:00am. That would make sense since they are "falling back" an hour, I had it backwards so I too will "fall back." whacko2.gif

No worries at all. The guy I traded for is on a bye this week anyways, was just checking in case you needed Lewis this week. This whole thing started because I went to check start times on CBS, where I follow the game tracker on Sunday's, and noticed they had 2:00pm start times listed for early games and 5:00pm for the late. That then led to a downwards spiral of early morning confusion whacko2.gif CBS must be wrong, but I didn't take that into account and have been thinking I am in some kind of time warp laughing.gif
