81 points? Started a guy on bye? Didn't drop 1 db to pick up a FA guy to TRY and be competitive? Started a DB who was out the last 2 weeks, and out again this week, and had 2 other options on the bench?

I"m not looking to start competitiveness debates in this league, because I'm really tired of them in Gridiron, but c'mon. You also let your 2 best players go in RFA and don't appear to be doing anything to attempt to be competitive. Are you still interested in this league?
Hopper10
No way is he interested
Dujmo
I think the same should be said about Frank then....2 weeks ago I played him and he started 3 bye players, didnt turn a lineup in that week at all....
SPANKYSWORLD
I just sent him a text about whats going on and he needs to get on here asap. He doesn't work with Don and I anymore so we don't talk to hm all the time.
ivfourbass
Well I know this will be censored, but oh well... when I wore my first dress off. I will admit, there was one guy I started who was on a bye. But when I put my lineup in there was no injury report for the DB in question or I WOULD have started one of the guys on the bench. And if you will remember, I let Andre Johnson go because of the insane amount of DB's he went for and I also picked up a WR to replace him. In my opinion he wasn't worth keeping if I was trying to build a whole team that sucked ass when I took it over. So, again. f u c k off.

I could see if I repeatedly did this, but I definitely do not. And far be it from you to talk to anybody about keeping up on things. If I remember correctly, you were pretty piss-poor about your commish duties in Gridiron for a while. Do you still have interest in being the Commish in that league???

GLad to see you are being so mature about things. I ask a few questions about your apparent lack of interest (40 for Johnson and 26 for Barber are actually bargains, especially when friggin Lamont Jordan went for like 80 a few years ago), and you curse me out? Nice. clap.gif clap.gif All I'm asking is are you really interested in this league? You make no FA moves (when there have been halfway decent players available for cheap), you let superstar players go when the prices were pretty reasonable, (though letting Barber go looks good now), and you admit your team is crappy. Are you even trying to get better this year? I could maybe understand if you were trying to acquire more dbs or picks, but you have done nothing! Whatever. Sorry I brought it up. Have fun running the Brown Raiders, or whatever you are building over there. I just wish I was in your division so I could get 2 free wins every year.

If you have problems with my handling of my commissioner duties, you are welcome to bail. I've got others who will gladly take your place if you are so put-off by the way I run that league. I readily admit I haven't been 100% on time with everything, but it all gets done to where no one is impacted and things have run fairly smooth this year. Real life takes first priority, and running the league is several notches below that. Again, if you don't like the way I run that league, speak up or get out.

Wait, what's this...the Saskatoon Nut Herders have also made zero moves this year, with a 2-6 record, and scores like 13th best in the league? I'm beginning to see the wisdom of your strategy.

Enough digging at you. You can run your team however you want. I'm done questioning it.
ivfourbass
Yup, as soon as you can find somebody to replace me in that league, do it. Same thing in this league. I don't have the time to keep up with this b.s. or the patience to deal with people like you. Now I realize why most fantasy football leagues are a joke. Go ahead and take digs at me about my lack of fantasy football knowledge. I'll be the first to admit that I didn't know much about it when I started, and I really don't know all that much now. In the end it just isn't that important to me and isn't a sport I get into all that much(except for watching the Bears). I'll finish out the year in each league, but then I'm done. Have fun harping on anybody else that isn't the "fantasy football god" that you are. Pathetic.

"all adults here".....from reading these posts it seems like we have a little s h i t with a temper tandrum.........you summed it up with your previous post that you're not interested in fantasy football.......somebody rocks your boat on why you only scored 81 pts and you flip out, cuss, bash another league and the commish of that league - to me that sounds like a little s h i t with a temper tandrum. Your choice to leave, but wouldn't it be nice to build your team and kick all our butts next year??

I believe the owner of the team in the other league was going to quit numerous times throughout the season. He stuck it out and did well last year and is doing well this year (except against me....hahaha.....sorry Todd, had to get that "zing" in there)
ivfourbass
I'm really not concerned with what you or anybody else thinks. In my opinion Captain Clay had a temper tantrum to begin with when he started this whole post. Isn't there better poopy to worry about than if I started one guy on a bye week? I am not tanking, and I put MY MONEY in to run my team as I see fit. Worry about your own team. Obviously I didn't pay just to lose. And being a competitive person I'm not too happy when I do lose. I have a plan to try to fix this team, and although it may not go along with what other people might do, it is still my decision. If I lose, I lose. I'm only losing my money, not yours.

Wow...decide to take a couple days of a break on fantasy football and look what happens. I was told about the firestorm so I have looked at all of the issues I can here. I am not here to pass judgement on Kevin but I do see Clay's point. I also see that Manningham was not inactivated until Sunday before the game and, although I know not everyone can sit in front of the pc or TV and wait for the inactives to be annouced, that doesn't excuse the starting of Whitner (who was noted as OUT on the Friday injury report last week) and the bye DL. I know that all of the backups Kevin had were also on bye but that is when you plunk down a db or 2 and pick one up. I will try to touch base with Kevin on Saturday to see where he stands as it sounds like he is ready to quit but I will let him make the call. My brother-in-law is interested in joining the league if needed but I want to see where Kevin is at first. I want to make sure he really wants to quit and that this is just not a "heat of the moment" decision, I will be back after I speak with him. Thanks.

Thought my guy was next in line to join the league?

Didn't say that. My post from last year is noted below that I would take him into consideration. I also have 3 other people interested, including my brother-in-law and, since he asks me everytime that I see him, he will probably be the next guy I ask if a spot opens up. I spoke to Kevin yesterday and he has advised that he will finish out the season and place lineups. He will think about playing next year and let me know after the season as he feels he made his comments in anger and without thinking first. If he doesn't turn in a proper lineup at any point in the season, I will pull the plug on his team at that point but, since he plays hockey on Sundays, he does sometimes miss the active/inactives lists that go out, as was the case with an 11AM game he had last week. Here is my post from last year.

I'm not going to put up the new owner issue to a vote. As soon as Todd posted that he wasn't going to play in IFADL (I believe he put it on the GWDL board but I am not sure), I extended offers to some owners in the GWDL as they would work well already being familiar with the dynasty concept and I had 2 that told me that they would do it. If I would have known about your friend earlier, I would have taken that into consideration. Now that I know that you friend is interested, I can certainly take him into consideration for the next spot that opens. Based on the apathetic ways of a couple of owners currently in the league, I wouldn't be surprised if I have another spot to fill before next year. Thanks for the heads up.
ivfourbass
Hell if I know why I have Wimbley starting right now... I obviously did not mean to start somebody on a bye week. I swore I checked Porter to start..
Dujmo
I thought we went through this when Todd quit...but obviouslly we will have to go through this again and again and again.......
Sham
Dujmo, if you want me to put your guy in a spot on the waiting list, I would put him 3rd. Sorry, but if I have a choice between a guy I don't know, my brother-in-law and a guy who already owns a team in GWDL that knows all of the ins and outs and I know will do a good job(Windy City), the guy I don't know if definitely falls at the bottom. I have another work person in line too who is currently 4th on the list, although I hope I don't have to dig that deep. I am sure that if you were running the league, your guy would be added to the league first and that would be fine by me. Sorry you don't like my decision.

I honestly think they should have to post some kind of resume or some sort that deals with fantasy football experience and all the owner in this league vote on it....oh and to jog your memory a little bit I found this:

Thanks, Shane. Taken into consideration does not mean "you're next". Of course, if you would like you friend to take over the Hebron team, I'd be cool with that. shades.gif With that, I am done dealing with this topic. It is not even a done deal that Indy is quitting after the season anyway.

Yah ok, I don't know what you're pissed at me about. shrug.gif I was just telling you that Don already posted that exact same piece of evidence that you searched high and low for. Anyways, who is this guy that you're DYING to get into the league, and how long have you two been together?? nutkick.gif moon.gif

It is actually a guy at work that I have worked with for 3 years, that does similar dynasty leagues and asks me all the time if we have an opening....

But I guess he doesnt have enough experience for Don's leagues
