Congrats on a well earned 27th World Series win.

Hope we can get a rematch next year.

The better team definitely won....congrats!

Phils need the following in 2010 to make a run at this Yankees team

1. a #2 starting pitcher (which could be Hamels if he returns to form)
2. an upgrade at 3rd base...Feliz is solid on the field, but his bat is becoming a liability (sans his Game 4 homer)
3. some bench-depth. we got absolutely nothing from Stairs, Francisco, Bruntlett and Dobbs this posteseason.
4. quality closer (again could be Lidge...closers tend to be streaky, and he still has good stuff).

Yankee fans seriously need some perspective. I'm listening to WFAN and all they keep talking about is the 9 year "drought" and "we FINALLY got the crown back". Yesterday Francesa was asked what the impact would be if the Yankees blew this series and he said words to the effect of "I won't get too deep into this because we're a long way from that happening, but it would be a bitter, bitter pill to swallow. Folks, it's been nine years. Nine years is a very long time. It would take years to get over that." Nine years, seriously??
