Hi,

I made the mistake of plugging my sports site on the bottom of my articles, but once I realized I wasn't supposed to do that, I quit doing so. However, I was wondering if it's okay to put a link to my site in my signature?

I know the site is against advertising, but is that considered ad/spam if it's just my sig?

thanks,

KR

I am not an admin, but I would assume that it would be frowned upon. Put yourself in their shoes, would you want someone plugging a competing site in your forums?

On another note, nice work in the Advice Forum, well thought out posts. thmbup.gif

I get that and obviously if they don't want me doing it, I won't. But IMO, if I'm being active and helping people, it's a small price to pay to just let me tiny little link be there on my sig. If anyone else knows for sure how the site feels about this, let me know.

Thanks for the advice and kudos, as well.

Don't do it. You're not the only one that has their own site, and they don't put the link in their signature for the very reason Hugh stated.

What they said. Thanks.
