Fellas,
There is a rule that I would suggest that we implement...it's a two-pronged rule as follows:

1-Give a 24-hour window that a player who is released, can NOT be picked up by any other team. This ensures that all owners have a legitimate shot at attaining the dropped player. This ensures that owners can not collude.

2- With the above rule in mind, force any/all teams that acquire new players to keep those players for at LEAST 1 weekend (1 game). This alleviates any owner from picking up players and then subsequently dropping them before the weekend to make sure other owners can't pick him up. This also prevents owners with a high waiver position acquiring players then dropping them so that other owners (late season collusion) who were lower on the waiver wire order can pick them up.

This works well in my other leagues....

Ideas? Comments?

Eddie, the site is set up to hold any player dropped by another team for 24 hours before that player is able to be picked up again, as you suggest. As for keeping a player you added through the weekend of games, i don't have a problem with it, althought i'm not sure there's any way to regulate that through mfl. I'll have to take a look at it.

I know that we can limit the number of drop/adds each franchise can undertake in the course of a week....

yeah what billay said about the 24 hr window.....

and as for the 2nd part....I know i dont have the time to track something like that....if someone can figure something out then fine....but what IF the player you pick up goes down with an injury then can you drop them???

Just playing devils advocate...I dont see an airtight way to do that and would hope we wouldnt need it...

What has to happen to make it a rule? What kind of vote do we need?

#1 isnt a rule and doesnt need a rule it is already that way in the waiver system...

as for #2 if people wanted to vote on it fine but I would vote against it for 2 reasons I DONT WANT TO TRACK it and I WOULD HOPE WE ARE AN HONEST GROUP THAT WONT COLUDE(SP)!!!!

I'm cool with both of those.

Steve, that was my first thought. I agree with you. If we have a group that can't be trusted then let's put it through, otherwise don't worry about it.

Does the Commissioner have to process or can this be put on some automatic cycle?

Just a bit chafed, after OBX Sharks raped a few of us auction newbies during our Auction. Sperience makes a difference!

Not to mention, I would prefer a live auction, as I fell asleep one night before the deadline and lost out on a bunch of players I wanted.
