Sounds like he still isn't doing any better.

Tomlinson update
Coach Marty Schottenheimer said running back LaDainian Tomlinson was as close to 100 percent as any of the players who did not practice yesterday because of injuries. Tomlinson didn't sound as sure after resting his strained groin during the bye week.

"I don't think it's a whole lot better. It just wasn't enough time," Tomlinson said. "I feel a little better than I have been. It's not getting worse. But I'm not ready to say it's getting a lot better because I really haven't tested it."

I think we'll hve a better grasp on how he's feelin after a couple days of practice..

even with the groin problems, he still seems to be running better than most backs do anyways..
A Little Bit Special
Sorry, but this is great news for me. Just moved into second place (atually a 3-way tie but I have the most total points) and I need to win out to stay in the hunt. Playing the Tomlinson owner this week and a healthy Tomlinson vs. the Raiders run defense has me very worried. One more week...just one more week.

Amen, brother. I wish they'd just rest Tomlinson this week and let Chatman loose.

I was wondering who was causing this fiasco...please dump LT2 so he can get healthy...

theres always someone with the fantasy hex in their soul...and you are it...I just packaged Brown in a deal that included LT2 a couple days ago... I think LT2 is just laying low...and he's much better than he says...because he didn't seem all that bothered to begin with....and if it was that big a deal, he would have sat last week instead of getting like 20-something touches

I wouldn't mind that either. Granted the gimpy Tomlinson has still been serviceable due mostly to him scoring a TD every game, but I will need the real Tomlinson if I am going to have any hope during the playoffs.

on NFL LIVE, they said he's finally at almost 100%...then went on to mention how scary that was lol...

I don't know if the Chargers and LT are making the injury sound worse than it is, but after reading Priority News today, I wouldn't be encouraged if I were a LT owner. We may not see the LT we've come to expect until NEXT YEAR. eek.gif g-bigshock.gif

That avatar kills me. I keep coming back to show it to people! The truth is funnier than fiction.

LT. WOW! Could he be down talking it to make the explosion more amazing? Is Marty right when he says that LT is as close to 100% as he has been this year?

Is LT being truthful or sneaky. Well see this weekend. You still got to play the guy if you have him. He is pretty much been good for a weekly TD. sneaky.gif

Definitely have to play him. This uncertainty is killing me though. I have a chance to make a decent trade giving him up right now, but if he's healthy then I don't want to move on it...our trade deadline is this weekend though, so I can't wait until after this week to see. g-bash.gif g-bash.gif

just don't trade him...it's worth more to you to have him for your playoff run coming off the latest possible bye than having whoever you'd be getting and possibly finding out you made a mistake..

just keep him, plug him in...and do this..... yay.gif

I hear you, but it is so very tempting. I don't want to get into specifics in this forum, but here is the link to the details of the trade. I'd appreciate any other thoughts you might have.

Agreed and I'm glad that I have Chatman "just in case." He will still put up decent numbers, though. LT at 80% is better than most of the other backs in the league.

He'll probably average 70-80 yards and a TD every week if his groin injury lingers. If he's healthy, LOOK OUT!! g-headbang.gif

I for one think that he's about 95%, I mean, it couldn't be any worse than the last game he played, and that was at 80%. He's basically taken 4 weeks off in a row, and played for about 3 quarters total in the last 4 weeks, which amounts to about 2 hours of practice. I don't see how he could be any worse, but only see him being better, and also being modest about how he feels right now. He's not the kind of guy to go out there and say....."***, i feel good, just give me the ball, and watch me rack the TD's and yards up!" He's much more modest than that. I for one(and LT owner) admire this attitude. Like i said, i see him at about 95 if not 99%! WATCH OUT, HERE COMES LT!!!

I wish I could agree, but I don't get that impression from what he said. Groin injuries tend to linger and, frankly, I don't think he'll be at 95% for the rest of the season.

My co-worker's daughter is married to Lorenzo Neal...I'll ask him tomorrow on how LT is doing then post here.

I have been on vacation for the past 2 weeks, so I haven't spoke to him recently.

If he was at 80% than LT owners need to be worried -- 17 rushes for 36 yards is 80%...80% of what? I still have yet to hear a logical reason why the Chargers should change what's been working to start force feeding the ball to a guy who admits he's nut at full speed. I don't think he's being modest, if anything I think he's trying to make the injury seem less severe.
