Hey Fins fans,
I know it has been a long season but do you see Travis Minor stepping in and kinda helping you more than the great Sammy Morris?

Is he finally healthy?

Thanks!

I'm not a Miami homer but if I had to guess I'd say they'll continue to split time. Maybe 50/50. That being said, Morris has done a pretty good job IMO.

I heard a rumor that the new management in Miami might announce Minor as the starter as early as tommorrow. I guess we shall see.

Minor is healthy once again but he will still split carries with Morris. He is just too small to be an everydown back and Morris will get his carries. Even if Minor is named the "starter", Morris will get a large amount of playing time.

Bates said he would announce the starter sometime on Wed.

Thanks for the input. Sounds like a CLASSIC RBBC. A 50-50 split.
Bummer.

Nothing can be finer than a run by Travis Minor.

I keep hearing this said, but if the pundits actually check his listing, he is the same size as about 6-10 other feature backs in the league. I can understand an argument based on the opinion he does not have the talent, but when the kid is the same size as Holmes, Portis, Green, etc, the size thing just looks even more ridiculous.

Even the local Miami media thinks Travis doesn't have the talent.

All I know, the guy has averaged over 5.0 YPC for his entire career, albeit a small sampling, and every time he gets into the game, makes great runs, has break-away speed, and tremendous elusiveness. First game, 5 carries, 25 yards, and last game 11 carries for 91 yards are a prime example of what he continues to do when given the chance.

Not only is he the same size as Priest, but I can see him lighting it up if given the chance, as EVERYBODY said the same exact things about Holmes.

At some point, the kid should be given a shot. 8.2 YPC last week.

Each and every week, he does more his carries than those they put in-front of him.

Minor might be the same height as Priest, but if you look at him he's just too *** skinny. Mostly he is a decent 3rd down back. Plays well in that spot. He had the opportunity to be the featured back but got hurt almost right out of the gate. Not to mention that behind that "thing" they call an offensive line, being an undersized back is really a handicap. Even Ricky who is a big strong back, was having problems getting through the line last year. Yeah, maybe if Travis had a line like in KC or Den. he could be alot more effective but as it stands now with the line he has, too many carries will mean more down time IMO. He has had injury issues since he was at FSU and seems to be more injury prone than most.
