That's what I'm thinking. g-shrug.gif

He played last week and had 127 rushing with a TD. Did I miss something???
jesdpie
he's fine, he tweaked his ankle on a play in the 3rd quarter, no worries, he's practicing and is a fine start this weekend!

He twisted his ankle and knee on the same play
jesdpie
no, he tweaked it. He's practicing and is fine.
jesdpie
he's probable for this week. In other words, START HIM!

I for one also heard ESPN fantasy analyst Eric Karabell say, "The saints are going to run the ball more than ever in the coming weeks!" made me feel good.

And exactly where are you getting your info ?? First off, he did a bit more than tweak his ankle -- hurt the knee and ankle on the same play, and Stecker was in quite a bit after the injury. Second, he was held out of practice today. Saints are confident he will play Sunday, should know alot more after tomorrow's practice.

Thanks. This was the info I was looking for. Need to know if I have to pick up Stecker for this week or not. I also didn't see anything that mentioned that Deuce did not practice on Wednesday.

Cordo, you're a better man than I am. After his comment about the Saints losing I wouldn't have even given him the time of day.

Where did you see that he did a lot more than tweak his ankle and knee? I have looked up the injury reports and don't even see him listed in there. PLease send a link.

Where's your info from CORDO. Deuce isn't on the injury and he practiced Wednesday. Get your story straight! mad.gif

You think that the Saints will win this week? They are one of the most, if not the most, pathetic franchises in the NFL. They have no defense and their offense is average. They also don't give the ball nearly enough to Deuce who is by far their best offensive player especially with Aaron "look at me smiling on the sidelines while losing by 4 tds" Brooks playing qb. That team needs a complete overhaul from management on down. Believe me, I'm a Jets fan and I know incompetence when I see it. The Saints actually make the Jets look like they know what they're doing.

You told Cordo to get his story straight, that he practiced on Wednesday. Cordo wasn't talking about Wednesday when he posted. He said he was held out of practice today. I'm guessing Cordo probably heard it on the radio because I haven't seen any of the reports posted yet on today's practice either, but Cordo's info is always pretty good.

Rgardless of what he says, I heard Eric Karabell of ESPN say he's going to run the ball more than ever starting this week, on the espn radio show of eric Essilias. Or however you spell his name. There was absolutley no mention of injury, NONE! And the poster who posted earlier made a good point that pretty much ends this convo. Stecker carried one time and caught 2 balls. Big deal. Deuced ended the game with 3 straight time draining carries!

END OF POST!

Wrong. 3 yds, 0 yds, and 4 yds. Saints were forced to punt.

Your point is exactly what ?? Go back and read what I wrote -- Stecker was in quite a bit after Deuce got hurt. Never said Deuce didn't return or get any more touches. Fact is, after he got dinged early in the 3rd quarter, he only had one touch in a 20 minute span (18 plays by the Saints offense). And it was pretty obvious that he was not the same on those last 3 carries when the Saints were trying to get a first down and avoid punting.

As far as you thinking my info is useless -- then don't read what I write, I really don't give a rats azz. My sources are airtight.

And like rajn said, maybe you should learn to read -- McAllister is on the injury report.

Sorry, but you really are in over your head here.

As a Duece owner I went into a little panic there, What? He wasn't on there this morning. Checked NFL.com and sure enough, now he is listed on the injury report.

Saints | McAllister Sits Out Practice, Expected for Week 11 - from www.KFFL.com
Thu, 18 Nov 2004 17:30:31 -0800

Jeff Duncan, of the New Orleans Times-Picayune, reports New Orleans Saints RB Deuce McAllister (flu) did not practice Thursday, Nov. 18, but is expected to play in Week 11.

It may, or may not, have been the flu that kept him out or practice. With the way Haslett plays with the injury reports ala Belichick you never know. But regardless Cordo's info was right on.
jesdpie
oooo shucks, he's on the injury list yes, but with the flu, NOTHING TO DO WITH ANKLE!

Exactly. How quick everyone forgets the uproar about how they handled McAllister's injury earlier in the season.

Well, my info may not always be right on, but considering I'm very good friends with the guy who does the in-game ESPN radio reports for all Saint home games, and I've got 2 other friends who are tight with (1) the Saints radio team sideline reporter and (2) a Times-Pic sportswriter who covers the Saints, I'm pretty confident that 99% of what I post here is as close to correct as you'll get unless you are a team insider.

So what are they saying about Deuce for this weekend's game? I'm gathering from you that he's not 100%, but that he will play. Did he practice today?
