The St. Paul Pioneer-Press reports coach Mike Tice said he would prefer to give one back a majority of the carries instead of splitting the load. He then added that he thought Onterrio Smith didn't look as explosive in Week 10 as Bennett. "I thought Mike had a real good week last week. I really did," Tice said.

Don't believe a word that liar Tice spews.

This is all that has been talked about. Tice needs to name a starter and let him find a groove. If he puts doubt into their minds they may not perform as well. The analysts were talking over the weekend that some backs to get a rythm until the second half. For the Vikings that is typically too late. I would love to see Bennett start and get 40 carries and 5-10 catches, but I doubt it will happen and I don't even have him as a player in FF. I just want my team to get back on track.

Oh, it's definitely what they SHOULD do. But Tice has proved over and over that he is an idiot, incapable of making a decision. It's the easy way out to play all 4 guys. It is also incredibly stupid.

I saw no reason why Bennett should go in...Smith had another breakout run for a TD....

and this is coming from someone who owns Bennett and Moore....but not Smith....

I hope he's right though..lol

Smith should definitely be the starter, end of discussion. Bennett should be the COP back and KR/PR.

The Vikings were hoping that Onterrio Smith would emerge as their every-down runner, with Michael Bennett serving as a change of pace. But Smith was slowed last week by a right shoulder stinger, and the two split carries against the Packers.

Bennett started because he fit better with the team's first scripted play. Both players ended the game with identical statistics -- five carries for 21 yards -- and coaches are considering a similar arrangement against the Lions.

"You'd really like to have one guy carry the load each week and have the other guy be the spell guy," Tice said. "[But] even though Onterrio didn't miss any practice time last week, I don't think he looked as explosive as Mike did."

Rookie Mewelde Moore, meanwhile, could miss his third consecutive game because of a high left ankle sprain.

"I'm looking at it week to week," Moore said. "And this week, I don't know."

I'm glad that Thomas Jones is probable this weekend. I'm sick of Tice and his bull$hit.

I look forward to the day that Tice is fired. Not only does RBBC hurt FF, but not allowing a back get enough carries to get into a rhythm hurts MIN's running game. He's screwing both Vikes fans and FF players.

i'd bet a dollar tice is waiting for moore to come back and play him - his pass catching skills fit perfectly into their "scheme"

Smith looked much better than Bennett in last week's game.

Tice is a big moron. He's definitely screwing his team over on the runningback thing. He's also a dope for letting Moss suit up for those two games when Moss was no where near being able to play. He should have just rested him. I also look forward to the day Tice is fired, and I'm a Bears fan.

Me too and I'm a Packers fan. They dewserve better than Tice. From Denny Green to Tice.

I live in MN and pay close attention to what is happening with the squad......

O. Smith will see the most work. Bennett will spell him at times, but long term O. Smith is the man in Minny.

Coupled with Moore when he returns.

I think it matters not what spews forth from Tice's mouth ... when it comes down to it he will alternate backs in each game until he finds the "hot hand" regardless of whom he deemed to be the starter before the game.
