Looking for any advantage possible in the weekly match ups down the stretch, I notice that there is a chance of inclement weather for a few games this weekend.
I saw the effects of the wind in Buffalo and would not start a QB, WR or a K for that matter while the wind is blowing that hard.
My question to y'all is that does it matter if it rains during a game? Thunderstorms? Snow?
Who does it effect more?
QBs cause they can't get a grip?
RBs cause of the inability to cut?
WRs for both of those reasons mentioned?
Or are DEF really screwed because they are reactionary and lose their traction?
I know that the big play will happen because the mistakes are maginified on the DEF side, but what if it turns into a bunch of three and outs???
I'm guessing that RBs will not be affected as much and will get more touches...
Thoughts???

the reason why I am bumping is that I don't want to start a WDIS thread, so I am asking a general question:
can a passing attact be effective in the rain?

I would say wet weather definatley favors running backs. But on the other hand, I have seen Wr's have huge games because of the slipping factor the Db's face.
The WR's can adjust more because they know which way the cut is going.

Unless it is a complete downpour with a lot of wind or a blizzard, I wouldn't base my FF lineup on the weather. Most players do just fine in moderately bad weather. In the past I thought I was being clever by benching players because of weather and got burned big time when they had good games.

so unless it is a hurricane, I shouldn't worry too much. It's just a tough decision when you have someone playing in a climate controlled dome and another playing in the rain.
i think it will still be a factor in my decision process, albeit not as important as the opposing DEF, specifically the CBs and pass rush, and Home/Road advantage.
Thanks
I have always believed that wind is more of a factor in the kicking and passing game. It's been said by other members of my league that rain and snow affect the passing game more than the running game, but I'm beginning to think that both are equally affected. What does anyone else think?
