Thinking of picking up Jarrard, (JAC); but have to do it soon if Delhomme is out.
The Liberal Media isn't going to let him play, they want Rodney Peete to play because they want a black QB to succeed.

today practice report, no link sorry
Starting QB Jake Delhomme (right thumb) threw a little on the side Thursday but didn't take a snap from under center. It's simply going to be a pain management thing with him. The thumb will continue to hurt him all year. If it affects his accuracy then they'll have to make a decision on whether he plays or not. However, he's been able to throw fairly accurately and should start this week. #2 QB Rodney Peete has taken all the first team practice reps.
Starting FB Brad Hoover (back) didn't practice and remains questionable to play. Backup FB/RB Nick Goings would start if Hoover can't play because rookie RB Joey Harris (hamstring-questionable) is unable to practice. Hoover's big day is tomorrow. He's a very tough guy and for him to be missing time like this, his back and hips are really hurting him. He couldn't even get up off the bench on his own power this past weekend. Backup RBs Brandon Bennett and Jamal Robertson are the only healthy tailbacks on this team and Robertson was introduced to the squad just last Saturday. The team also signed FB Casey Cramer from the Titans' practice squad this week.
Starting TE Kris Mangum (neck-questionable) practiced Thursday and is expected to play.
