My given name is Al but most of my friends call me Chico. Spent 12 years in the navy and most people couldn't pronounce my last name (Chicovsky-very similar to the composser but spelled different) thus the nickname Chico. And yes i often get asked "where is the man" or you don't look hispanic!

Technically you could be correct. However, in the last 40 years or so, I haven't heard anyone say (or write) anything but Christian name.
