We have a few new owners, and probably still need at least one more, but the league will survive another season.

Don't panic if you don't hear from me regularly for the next month or so. I am busy moving my family and working on the site.
Things should settle down for me by mid-July. Leaving plenty of time to organize and run the auction.

I'm curious too about the draft, when it will be/start.

Maybe some of you returning members can answer this. How long does the draft take? How does it work (in general).

I'm back in the office now, so I'm back online. Won't have access at home for the site until later this week.

For those inquiring minds, the auction takes about a week and a half to complete, so we still have plenty of time.
The way the auction works is this:

Owners have $240 to spend on their team. Each roster spot takes a minimum of $2 to fill (the minimum opening bid) Players newly added to the list will be scheduled to sign with the high bidder at 6pm the following day. Any player receiving a new higher bid between noon and 6pm will automatically reshcedule signing for the following day at 6pm. Bidding is Ebay style, so even though you enter you maximum bid, you only pay $1 more than the next highest bidder (except the $2 initial bid). At 6pm each night, players that have not received a new high bid, and have been on the auction list since at least the previous day will sign with thier high bidder and be locked at the current bid price. Any additional money the high bidder had in thier max bid will be returned to their pool for bidding on other slots.

There are a few other details such as how many players you can have on the list that you entered the opening bid on, but I can't rememeber if it's 3 or 5 for this league.

As soon as I get my machine at home up and running (later this week), I'll have the new owners select their teams. Then I'll post a list of keeper costs for each team.
Everyone will have a week or two to select keepers. Then we can start the auction around Aug 8th.

No objections here. I'll be on vacation from the 23 - 31 of July, and will have limited to no internet access(IF I can make it that long... )

Then we should get the teams selected before you leave. Each new owner should go to http://www.maxfl.com/visitors/main.cfm?LeagueID=1054 and look at the rosters for Pistol Whippers, Vito's Revenge, Widow Makers, and City Slickers. These are the teams that need new ownership. You are looking for the team that you feel has the best 3 keepers, at the best prices. You can find the auction price of each player on the Auction page.
Remember, player prices will be raised with the following formula. +15% for top 5 finish in position, +10% for top 10 finish in position and +05% for all others, rounded up to next whole dollar.

I will have Los G choose first, then budlitebrad, then tony. Our fourth owner, still TBD, will get what's left.
