The setup: 10 team, 3 keeper league (only one from any single position). Picking 9th in the 1st round, 8th in the 2nd, 7th in the third, etc. etc. (I have no 6th rounder this year). Performance league starting 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 team Def.
Currently my keepers will be: McNabb, Sh Alexander, J Walker. (most teams in the league will be keeping QB, RB, WR although some trade out QB for TE - gonzo, gates) We have 7 more days till we make our cuts.
The dilemma: Even if T.O. comes back, I see the relationship as broken. A bad game will come eventually and TO will go off on McNabb on the sidelines (I think we've all heard this story before). Anyway, I'm looking to get rid of McNabb (I think).
The plan: I'm planning on offering McNabb and Coles to the team who already owns TO and in exchange I want Favre and his 2nd round pick (2.02). I figured by throwing in Coles, if for some reason TO doesn't come back he'll have a serviceable WR thereby making the trade more attractive.
Is this a smart trade? What should I realistically expect for value? Am I screwing myself? I realize that somewhere during the draft I will need to potentially find another keeper caliber QB or TE since who knows how much longer Favre will go.
