Can we ask Yes/No type questions? If so, has this MH spent significant time at Neverland?
  12. Is Moss being Black Balled by ESPN?

MV, thanks for reminding us all to keep things in perspective. And as many others have said, sorry for your families loss and prayers are with you.
  13. Did Berman just..

Does Moss call it the "Faux Moon"?
  14. Larry Johnson and his Coach

TIVO accomplishes the same thing, minus the hours spent marinating in your own excrement.

  16. Oakland homers; Fargas, the poor mans..

As a member of Raider Nation, I've seen as much of Fargas as anybody, and I am simply not impressed. As others have said, he shows flashes, but so do guys like Jamel White. The Raiders need more than flashes. I do see that the Raiders OL is slowly but surely becoming an elite unit. When the Raiders do find a true #1 RB, with the improved OL, and assuming Norv Turner is still around, I would expect that RB to put up tremendous fantasy numbers. But I do not expect Fargas to be the guy.
  17. Is Vick overrated?

I think of Vick as the Barry Sanders of quarterbacks. By that, I mean he is truly one-of-a-kind -- nobody's ever seen anyone quite like him before, and nobody ever will. I've been in FF for more than 15 years now, and every year he played I tried to get Barry Sanders. Why? Because of his unique talents he was just plain fun to watch. During those same years, I also had guys like Ottis Anderson and Terry Allen help me win titles. But it was Barry with all of his jukes and moves that made every Lions game a "must-see" (back then there was no NFL Sunday Ticket or Tivo). Show me a video tape of Barry's top 20 runs just in Thanksgiving day games during his career, and I'll show you 17 or 18 runs that no other running back could have made. Vick is another incomparable talent, IMO. That's why he's "over-rated". He will do things on the field that no one has ever done before. He already has, and his career is just getting started. I may or may not win my FF league every year because of Vick, but I sure as hell will thoroughly enjoy every one of his big plays as they occur.

Big John, I don't know you, but I hate you.
  19. who will win the Cup, and in how many games?

Red Wings in a four game sweep. Three of the four games will be shutouts. eek! PS- has the betting line for the series at: Redwings -700 'Canes +500 While I have been seeking advice on just how much of a "lock" the Wings are in this series, risking $700 to win $100 just isn't justifiable, IMO. Game 1, the line is Redwings minus 1-1/2, -105. So betting $105 to win $100 and the Wings must win by 2 or more goals. hmmmmmmm. That seems like a near-lock.
  20. As I stated earlier, I know VERY little about hockey, but have been thoroughly enjoying this year's playoffs (first the Sharks/Avs and now the Wings/Avs). A couple of years ago, I sat in the Oakland Coliseum watching the Ravens completely stuff the Raiders running game in the AFC title game (the Raiders led the NFL in rushing during the regular season that year) and I left that game completely impressed with the Ravens D. As the Super Bowl neared, I was 99.99% certain that the Giants had absolutely no chance to win or cover, and (uncharacteristically) I made some rather large bets on the Ravens. Needless to say, I did quite well on those bets. Now, admittedly I am a complete novice when it comes to hockey. My impression is that the winner of the Avs/Wings will have no trouble winning the Stanley Cup over the Hurricanes/Leafs. Am I over-simplifying things? Or is this another "golden opportunity" to cash in on a rare championship mis-match??? Help me out, hockey brethren...
  21. Is Avs/Wings over Hurricanes/Leafs a sure bet?

Let me re-phrase it this way: It's unanimous here that the Avs/Wings will prevail in a 7-game series vs. the Eastern team. That being the case, would it not make sense to take the Avs/Wings in EACH single game, and rack up some serious $$$, particularly in the event of a 4 game sweep? Or would some other wagering strategy make more sense? I'm not looking for the longshot here, quite the opposite, I'm thinking about a slam dunk. The question really is: how do you go about betting the NHL finals so that you take full advantage of this apparent mis-match in the making?
  22. Props to the Sharks

I have never been a big hockey fan - in fact I don't understand most of the rules. But I must say that this Avs-Sharks series had me glued to the TV for every game. My impression was that these must be two of the best teams in the league, and the intensity in all 7 games was like watching the final 2 minutes of a tied NBA game seven - but for 60 minutes at a time! Wow. If there is a team out there better than the Avs, I would have to see it to believe it. (Haven't seen the Red Wings play yet, so I'm looking forward to another great series) If I get hooked on hockey, I just may end up divorced. Oh well. thumbs_u
  23. Since this board is working ...

I just attended the Raiders/Seahawks game last week. I can tell that Jackson put up some decent numbers, but mainly on two long passes that any respectable safety would have batted down or intercepted. Unfortunately, the Raiders have Marquez "Clueless" Pope back there, so Jackson racked up big yards. Given what I saw from Hassellback, Dilfer & Huard last week, dump Jackons. Seattle's QB's are awful - not even Holgrem can change that.
