  1. Well, he was partially right: "I don't think it's going to be close". I'd say 14 points qualifies.
  2. Good interview on WWL 870 AM this evening with Kenny and Bobby. Well done DMD !
  3. Devery looked very good with Brees throwing the ball, hopefully he'll be ready for the Indy game (see below). Copper and Moore both had nice games as well, with Palko at QB. http://www.neworleanssaints.com/Articles/2...me%20Story.aspx http://www.nola.com/sports/t-p/index.ssf?/....xml&coll=1
  4. QB (pick one) Det O'Sullivan, J.T. RB (pick one) Cin Irons, Kenny WR (pick one) Cin Perry, Tab Tiebreak: 44
  5. Interesting reading through these posts, good stuff. I remember using Huddle lists for my first FF draft (1998), and of course, ever since. Have been a paying customer since it went to a pay site. Didn't frequent the message board at all until probably 2001, and then just lurked for a couple of years (as I pretty much do now) before joining the boards.
  6. Vanderjagt was brought in but not signed. Carney is reportedly retiring. Heard this afternoon on local sports talk radio (reported by Kenny Wilkerson, the drive time host and also the Saints sideline reporter) that Carney notified the team over the weekend that he was retiring. Again, just what I heard on the radio today, haven't seen anything in writing that confirms this.
  7. I think you mean when, not if.
  8. Look, if the Jets or Giants played in the Dome, and if I saw signs or heard comments about finishing what the terrorists didn't on 9/11, hell yeah, I'd be embarrassed. And if after any home game, if I heard or read about visiting women fans being spit on and manhandled, I'd be appalled. Doesn't matter that I don't know or associate with people like that, as a fan of the team and a citizen of the city, yes, I take that personally. Obviously, you don't. So be it. My point of reference is pretty good on this. I've been to almost 200 pro football games in my life, in close to half the stadiums in the NFL. I grew up in a family of Baltimore Colt season ticket holders, and started going to games when I was 5 years old. Went to 3 or 4 Colt games a year until I went off to college. I've been a Saints season ticket holder for over 15 years, and have missed 2 home games in that span. I go to at least one away game a year. I've seen and heard a lot of things over the years, all I'm saying is, this was above and beyond anything I've experienced before in terms of poor taste and treatment of visiting fans. Period, end of story.
  9. Over react much ? Maybe this is hitting just a little too close to home. I stand by what I said, and have no doubts to the veracity of all I've read and heard. And there is nothing to "get over", said my piece and will do my talking with my disposable dollars elsewhere, simple as that.

    Joe Horn

Sean Payton certainly seems to think so. Some pretty convincing talk around here (NOLA) from very reliable sources that Horn was healthy enough to have played vs the Eagles and at Chicago, but he obviously was not activated for either game.
  11. Wonder if it has anything to do with the conditional pick they owe the Saints...it's a 2007 3rd if they re-sign Stallworth before free agency starts, but a 2007 4th if they do not. Maybe they just don't want to part with the 3rd, and are willing to take the risk.
  12. Went to the Saints game in Foxboro a year ago November. Other than trips to Tampa, the New England game was probably the best experience I've ever had in a stadium as a visitor. Only the typical ribbing, which I said in my first post should be expected in any stadium. But mine was not an isolated incident in Chicago this past weekend. For the past 3 days I've heard constant stories on local New Orleans radio about how poorly people were treated. Saintsreport.com is full of stories as well. It really was way beyond what anyone would consider "typical" fan hazing, and if I were in anyway associated with Chicago, I'd be embarrassed. You can blame it on alcohol, playoff fever, whatever you want. All I know is, 2 weekends ago, people were tailgating from 8am until almost 7pm before the Eagles game, and I never saw or heard of any problems in the Dome that night. In fact, had a great time on Bourbon Street after the game having drinks with many Eagle fans until 4am, and all of them said they couldn't believe how little taunting they took in the stadium.
  13. I've been to almost a dozen NFL stadiums as a fan of the visiting team. Certainly you expect to take some verbal abuse, but Sunday was by far the worst experience I've ever had. My wife was pushed several times "accidentally", we had things thrown at us the entire game, and a friend had his beer intentionally kicked over after he had set it on the ground to put his gloves on. Constantly heard Katrina comments. Totally classless group of fans. I will never spend another dime in Chicago again.
