  1. WDIS

Do I take the chance that Dayne gets carries vs. KC on Monday night or do I think the Clev - Indy game in Indy will be a shootout thus giving Edwards a good chance to produce. I am also starting Heiden at TE this weekend if that makes a difference. We do get .5 per reception as well. What do you guys think?
  2. WDIS

    Any other thoughts?
  3. WDIS

I hear the yuk. I have Portis on a bye this week.
  4. Need a reason NOT to do this trade...

And just to clarify my position I do hate Lelie and think he is WAY over rated in that he's never really done anything, but I also think Burleson is way over rated and since he is hurting now and will miss Sunday's game those 2 are almost a wash and Deuce is much better than Dunn so get it done.
  5. WDIS at Flex?

This is one time I'd actually go WR over RB. TT is coming off a good game and Burleson will be out which means he should get even more. I'd start Taylor.
  6. Foster and Rogers FOR Anderson As you can see I have Dayne and Bell. I would then start Anderson this week over Edwards with Portis on bye. Rogers is my # 5 WR and I could grab a K-Rob or some other WR off of waivers.
  7. Need a reason NOT to do this trade...

That is actually better for you. You keep LT and he keeps Willie. Obviously I rather have LT so it is better for you. Personally I HATE Lelie but I'd do the deal just for Deuce.
  8. Mungro and Rhodes

I know their OL isn't built for power short yardage running, but when your "FB" is Mungro you aren't going to get it done. I think they should sign a FB period but at the very least have a TE in the backfield on short yardage not Mungro, but I guess that doesn't matter now.
  9. Mungro and Rhodes

Any chance the Colts sign a FB to block in short yardage?
  10. Dunn or Portis?

Get Portis and deal Moss. 2 Skins isn't good anyway.
  11. Dayne or Griffin ?

Between those 2 Dayne no doubt. Q is a depth chart guy who is coming off of major knee surgery less than a year ago and was cut in pre-season. Dayne has a chance to get some carries.
  12. traded Harrison FOR C. Brown and T. Henry. I mean what kind of deal is that? A top 5 WR for a RBBC. It is people like that, that quite honetly ruin leagues for the rest of us. And by the way it is the same 2 people who were involved in a deal last year of Q and P. Price for C-Pep after week 1 (same owner getting Harrison got C-Pep). Is that a joke or what?
  13. Can you believe someone in my league...

Fair enough. I don't see it but as always respect all opinions. And no more comments on this. Let's let it disappear. We are offending Hugh
  14. Can you believe someone in my league...

Yup and since we don't have a rule about vetos we do just have to live with it. You should see my leagues message board right now. Not happy. And the guy who dealt Harrison only has Jordan at RB really, and had Bennett, Harrison, Moulds, and Keyshawn at WR. BUT again he can start that lineup. You can start 1 RB and 4 WR's in my league. On top of that even if you need a RB badly you don't deal a top WR for 2 time share RB's regardless. He could have gotten more for Harrison and he isn't required to start 2 RB's anyway so who cares go run and shoot with 1 RB and 4 WR's.
  15. Steve Heiden

Disagree for the reasons stated above. Plus he did have 3 catches for 32 yards in week one which isn't great but is better than 1 catch or something and shows he is somewhat involved. Will he be great? No way, but he should be better than guys who get 1 or 2 catches a game.
  16. Can you believe someone in my league...

I respect your opinion and if that's the way it should be so be it my bad. I just didn't know that if you are just stating something and not asking for advice it should be over there. Very good and thanks for the input.
  17. Can you believe someone in my league...

    1. Not a keeper or dynasty league. 2. How is this the wrong forum when I am not asking for any advice? Just simply stating a deal that went down. I didn't say should this be vetoed, we don't have that rule in our league, so not wrong forum. And it isn't collusion just a really stupid owner. And his only good RB is Jordan but we are allowed to start 4 WR's and only 1 RB so that isn't an issue. Anyway you cut it dealing a top 5 WR for a RBBC which makes both of them pretty useless is a very bad deal.
  18. Ron Dayne?

My take on the Denver RB situation: Anderson - Has inside track in that if he starts off well Monday night he should stay in BUT if he starts off with another fumble or 15-20 yards on 7 or 8 carries he'll be "rested". Dayne - I believe he'll be the # 2 this week. If Anderson falters at all Dayne will be first in and even if Anderson runs okay I think Dayne gets some carries. If he runs well andything can happen. Bell - I have him so this isn't a biased take, is SO over rated. In the past 1 + season has been given chance after chance to be the # 1 guy and talked about time after time in here as the possible # 1 guy and yet has been beaten out by Q, Droughns, Anderson, and Dayne. I just don't think he has it and certainly not now. Q - To me he was brought back as depth chart filler and to maybe return kickoffs. In addition to being a RB less than a year off of knee surgery, RB's almost always need 2 years to fully recover, he showed pretty clearly he is not built to be an everydown RB. I truly see him as ZERO threat to win the job. Could he be a 3rd down guy at some point? That I can see but not right away I don't think.
  19. Trade Bettis for Pollard?

Seems like a no brainer Tom. I see no down side for you. Bettis is hurt and isn't that great anyway. Plus he is your 4th or 5th RB anyway. Easy call get Pollard.
  20. Drop Faulk for Shipp or Perry?

I agree with this. And even if Jax went down I wonder if Faulk could carry the load anymore anyway.
  21. Burleson's knee

So are you saying you don't like K-Rob? As a homer what's your opinion on K-Rob?
  22. Ron Dayne?

Saying Dayne couldn't beat out Tiki as part of your argument against Dayne is pretty weak. Tiki is one of the best RB's in the league. Now as for the main part of what you said there I tend to agree. Every year Dayne "looks great" and never does anything, so I wouldn't count on the world from him. He does however have 2 things going for him. 1. he now plays in Denver RB heaven. 2. he should get a chance to get some carries and show what he can do. Having those 2 things going for him is a big plus. Now will he actually do a thing? That is up for debate.
  23. Trade advice

While Portis is VERY VERY shaky I would do it. To me he is no more shaky than KJ in that Det O and Wayne is clearly better than McCardell.
  24. Give Jamal up for Parker?

Personally there is NO way I do it. Jamal will only get more and more healthy as the year progresses starting with week 4 after their bye. Meanwhile Parker looks great now but has done it against 2 bad D's, before anyone says Tenn's D shut down Lewis I will say Balt is just way of of whack right now and that game was in Tenn, and on top of that I still find it hard to believe that Bettis and Staley just sit on the bench and rot when they are healthy. No way I do it.
  25. Ron Dayne?

Though Coach Mike Shanahan said that Mike Anderson remains the Broncos' starter at running back heading into the team's game against Chiefs Monday, he also indicated that he plans to involve Dayne and Tatum Bell, ankle permitting, the Rocky Mountain News reports. "Everybody's going to get a chance to play some," Shanahan said. "I can't tell you exactly what our plan is. We have to decide it ourselves." The coach added, "I like having the combination of all three of those running backs." Dayne, who was inactive for the Broncos' season-opening loss at Miami, was turned loose in Week 2 because Mike Anderson -- nursing sore ribs -- needed a breather and Tatum Bell's ankle was sprained. Dayne responded with 44 yards on eight carries, helping sustain a drive that led to Jason Elam's game-winning 41-yard field goal. Dayne's emergence, along with Shanahan's acknowledgment that Bell would have been used were it not for his injury, clouds the Broncos' running back situation -- one that appears headed toward a time-share -- at least until one of the trio gets hot and forces the coach's hand.
