May not win much, but at least I can say I won week 2. 185.500
  2. Colts helmet question

    Helmet design. It’s a hole, not a decal. https://www.amazon.com/Indianapolis-Colts-Authentic-Football-Helmet/dp/B004VBDYB6/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&qid=1547350371&sr=8-8&keywords=Colts+helmet
  3. Home/away predictions

Makes easy splitting for the Chargers that play 16 road games a year. Right?
  4. Lev Bell - Something is brewing in Burgh

My best guesses. Play 6 games (or injured and/or injury settlement) for a year credit towards retirement benefits and a good contract year. Plenty of players sign contracts with a few games left in the year, just not fully creditable. A tag is a designation, not needing a creditable year. Independent of games played. Dont sign the tag / tender means not under contract. Compensatory pick will be in a formula based upon number of players lost / brought in, and the $ / years of contracts signed on the incoming/outgoing players.
  5. put an NFL player in a halloween costume

  6. D'Onta Foreman

Achilles for WRs = can regain some straight line speed and burst with a low amount of defenders landing on top of them = some have made it back from the injury Achilles for RBs = push off is limited and runs into lines of 300 pound unpredictable weights that pull and twist ankles in the pile = none have ever come back to sustained usefulness Foreman was a 245ish pound RB in college - was already a heavy dude. Take 10 months off from true workouts and he probably weighs like a TE by now. Not so good for a bad wheel. Can see him blow another tire or axle pretty easily. Or perhaps Foreman is the exception to history.
  7. Eifert done for the year

An ankle dislocation can be career ending if he never gets his full range of motion back.
  8. Garoppolo hurt, probably ACL

And so it begins, we'll get to hear all the FF jokes about Beat hard.
  9. ESPN says Browns releasing Gordon on Monday

Countdown to Dez rumors in 3... 2... 1...
  10. why does the NFL have roster cap (53 playes)?

  11. Who has been here since the 90s?

LOL, great one! Screwed around to look: The old FF site Skippy, Big Country, and I had back in the day (whodoistart.com) resolves to the Edmunds Car website, to a 2018 Chevy Sonic. WTF? Why not just the homepage? If it were Skippy's Dart (or my Zed4) I'd understand some irony...
  12. Who has been here since the 90s?

He got old. Health issues. Rarely posts much anymore, but gets out in the wilderness plenty. Nature picture fanatic.
  13. Who has been here since the 90s?

At one point I had username #4, after Whitney, David, and Carl. (Pretty sure it was Carl the programmer/sys admin). Test drove the new messageboard with an all-nighter called "Riff's Place" that was hidden from the public while testing out the functionality. David, Muckrakers, and Skippy showed up to Riff's Place. Back in the day I had a free Huddle hat from David and a free Mr Football t-shirt from Dodds (before FBG).
  14. Who has been here since the 90s?

Nearly everyone in our Usual Suspects league. Year 20 of the 14 team league. Riffraff, Skippy, Big Country, Roadrunner, Figme, Penguin, Willy, Pratts, MikeC, Beach Bum, CEO of the BFPK, Dope. No longer in the league, but still around: Merlin, Defector
  15. Rashaad Penny

You know better than this lazy stat post. Penny played 1 ranked team (Stanford) and conference defenses that produced (1) first round defensive player and (0) second round defensive players in the NFL draft. Basically a bunch of guys that won't be playing pro ball. 1 of 29 defensive players drafted in those 2 rounds. Meanwhile Guice played against 10 ranked teams (won't list them all) and conference defenses that produced (4) first round defensive players and (3) second round defensive players in the 2018 NFL draft. 7 of 29 defensive players drafted in those 2 rounds. Back in 2016, Penny didn't beat out Pumphrey (drafted in the 4th round). Whilst Guice led the SEC in rushing while sharing time with Fournette (drafted in the 1st round). Don't really need to compare NFL level defensive opponents in 2017's draft too, do we?
  16. The 2018 NFL Draft

M Bryant was technically the first WR acquired during the draft. Jordy is probably pissed.
  17. The 2018 NFL Draft

Not a WR for Dallas. Whodathunkit?
  18. The 2018 NFL Draft

Martavis Bryant to the Raiders for the 75th pick
  19. Dez Bryant cut

    Dez Bryant Cant Run Routes?
  20. Dez Bryant cut

Maybe Dez can go to a team with David (yes David) Carr. Carr vs Dak in a friendly accuracy throwing competition.
  21. Joe Mixon owners rejoice!!!

He was a free agent due to end of contract, not released.
  22. Joe Mixon owners rejoice!!!

Bengals acquired LT Cordy Glenn from the Bills. The teams are swapping first-round picks (Cincinnati's No. 12, Buffalo's No. 21) as compensation. Cincinnati is also getting a fifth-round pick, Buffalo a sixth.
  23. Carson Palmer retiring

Does this mean he has quit on 3 teams? Possibly an NFL record for a starting QB.
  24. NFL draft 2018

The thing is - they can guarantee they get a QB with the 1st/4th pick, they cannot guarantee they can trade up from the second round ahead of anyone to get the last one on the board. Other teams may offer more for the same pick or move ahead of them. It could cost the second plus a future first depending on how high the final QB is sitting at. No ego involved, it's just not good odds or economics. They already control the draft board right now.
  25. NFL draft 2018

Cleveland has 2 top 4 picks. In the NFL you take the one you want, not the one left on the board (as in fantasy football). They can still trade back up into the first for another player (to get that 5th year option) and have 3 firsts.
