  1. I'm in a 10 team keeper league (non-ppr). I can keep two players year to year. McCoy is obvious, but torn on Demaryius or Aaron.
  2. On the fence on who to keep of the following: Giovani Bernard for a 3rd round pick Rob Gronkowski for a 4th round pick Josh Gordon for a 5th round pick Russell Wilson for a 7th round pick I can keep up to 2 of the aforementioned players. This is a 12 team ppr league starting 1 QB, 1 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 1 FLEX (RB/WR/TE). QB's tend to be drafted early and often by the other owners, for example in last year's draft after the 6th round the best QB available was Eli Manning. Thank you in advance for your input.
  3. It almost time for me to set my keepers for this year. This is the first time I have been in a keeper league, it's 10 man with a snake rotation draft (I'm 2nd in the draft). Going into this upcoming season, I need to set 2 Keepers and would definitely appreciate any advice (These keepers will give up my round picks). Last season, my draft was: 1. Jamaal Charles 2. Matt Forte 3. Larry Fitzgerald 4. Peyton Manning 5. Dwayne Bowe 6. Montee Ball 7. Greg Olsen 8. Desean Jackson 9. Mark Ingram 10. Jacquizz Rodgers 11. Daniel Thomas 12. Bengals D 13. Brian Hartline 14 Malcolm Floyd 15. Phil Dawson 16. Ben Roethlisberger I'm almost positive that I'm going to keep Peyton Manning, but I don't know who else I should keep, if any (I'm thinking about Montee Ball). I also picked up Marlon Brown and the Dolphins D.
  4. 14 teams, $250 cap. PPR, decimal scoring, all TDs 6. I am definitely keeping Russell Wilson for $11 and Keenan Allen for $8. I can keep two others. Who do you like from this list? RB J. Bell $14 RB Morris $66 RB Ridley $26 RB Woodhead $18 WR D. Baldwin $6 WR Boldin $22 WR Garcon $38 WR James Jones $13 WR Wallace $26
  5. my league decided to start a keeper league for next season. we can keep up to 3 players. i didnt draft anyone good, but i did pick up zac stacy, ladarius green and julius thomas. i plan on keeping them 3. we would lose a 10th round pick and then a 9th and then an 8th for free agents that were not drafted. we cannot keep anyone drafted in rounds 1-3. we lose a pick two rounds above where the player was drafted. for example, i drafted antonio brown in the 5th round. if i decided to keep him, i would lose my 2nd round pick for 2014. speaking of which, i wouldn't/shouldn't do that right? also, do you have any recommendations on someone that i should pick up? here are a few names: tiquan underwood, deandre hopkins, tim wright, christine michael, marcus lattimore, marcus wheaton feel free to recommend other names that you may think if a sleeper. thanks
  6. Greetings Ladies and Gents, I just found these forums this morning, and I'm glad I did. Good community going here. I'm struggling with a keeper dilemma. I'm in a 12-team, 1/2 PPR league, and my deadline to submit keepers is tonight. We start 2 RBs, 2 WRs and 2 RB/WR flex positions. I also have the 3rd pick in the draft, with 2 picks in the 1st round (3 & 9), but no picks in the 5th or 6th. I can only keep 3 players. My choices are: McFadden for a 4th J. Nelson for a 9th (I also have an extra 9th rnd pick) Amendola for a 10th D. Richardson for a 15th. Amendola and D. Richardson seem like locks based on value, so I'm down to McFadden vs. Nelson. Nelson seems like the better value, but because we can actually start 4 RBs each week, they're at even more of a premium. They both have injury concerns and probably about the same risk of underperforming. I'm leaning McFadden since RBs are scarce and WR is deeper. What say ye? Thanks in advance, and sorry for the long 1st post
  7. I am in a 10 man NFL.com league. We are allowed two keepers. I have Ray Rice, Doug Martin, and Lesean Mccoy, and Kapernick. Which two would you keep?
  8. I wanted to get some thoughts on offseason trades of keepers. I will use a hypothetical situation and I would like to get some opinions on which rule configuration makes the most sense and why. Please explain your rationale. Keeper Rules: You can keep any player one round higher than you drafted him the previous year, with the 5th round being the latest round that a keeper can be kept. You can keep a player for a second year, but they must be kept as your first round draft pick. Scenario: Team A drafted Peyton Manning in the 6th round last year, so Manning is a 5th round eligible keeper. Team B drafted SJax in the 4th round, so he is a 3rd round eligible keeper. Team A drafts near the end of the snake and team B drafts near the top. The two teams want to trade these players and there are two schools of thought as to what sort of trade can be allowed. Trade process one would have the teams trade the players as-is. Team A could then use its 3rd round pick to keep SJax and team B could use its 5th round pick to keep Manning. Trade process two would require each team to first keep their respective player in their respective round and then trade them. This trade would obviously never happen as team B would essentially be trading away a 3rd round pick for a 5th round pick. The argument against the 1st type of trade is essentially that it could result in trades that are unfair to other members of the league. For example if the team picking last had no viable running back keepers and the team picking 1st had several running back keepers, then the first team could trade away a keeper and keep their #1 overall pick, thus depleting the running back by one additional back. In theory, this screws the guy drafting 7th or 8th out of a good running back. The argument against the 2nd type of trade is that it artificially assigns value to keeper players. Manning is now assigned a value of 5.10, where he would almost certainly be taken with a higher pick than that were he thrown back in the pool. What do you think is the fairest rule? Thanks!
  9. I commission a 10 team, PPR league. We can keep up to 6 players. For the first 4 players we have to give up our first 4 picks, for the fifth player we have to give up picks 5 and 7, and for the sixth player we have to give up picks 6 and 8. I can only keep 4 players because I no longer have my 7th round pick, but I do not have to keep 4 either. I also have the first and fourth picks in the fifth round so I have the hypothetical first and fourth picks in the draft. Who should I keep? My specialty players are: QB's Aaron Rodgers Ryan Fitzpatrick RB's Trent Richardson Ray Rice David Wilson Darren McFadden Jonathan Dwyer DeAngelo Williams WR's Larry Fitzgerald Greg Jennings Mike Wallace Torrey Smith Kenny Britt TE's Brandon Myers Mercedes Lewis
  10. In my fairly standard 10 team league (1 pt for 10 rush/rec yards, 6 pts for rush/rec TDs), we can keep one player from the previous year at the cost of the round he was drafted in. (Sadly, you can only keep a player once, so I have to throw a 7th round pick Arian Foster back into the pool this year.) So, should I keep Matt Forte for a 2nd rounder, or Darren Sproles for an 11th rounder?
  11. I'm looking for a manual/ advice/ explanation of the contend vs. rebuild mode that I hear thrown around forums and websites. There is never any more in depth discussion beyond, "I'm in a rebuild year." What defines a rebuild year? What should an owner do in a rebuild year? What's the difference in a league with 2 keepers vs 5 keepers? Does the 2 keeper league even need to worry about rebuild mode? I realize that the basics are that in Rebuild mode I should be looking for younger high upside players for good value, but isn't that what we're looking for anyway regardless of "mode" we're in? Thanks in advance for any website links or long treatise answers on the subject!
  12. Hey guys, we've been running a 3 Keeper league for years. I wanted to hear how some of you run your leagues. I'm looking to change it up a bit . Want to make easier for the bottom teams to get better and make the draft more interesting by allowing guys to keep less then 3, but would like to here more ideas on how to make this work.
