JimL04
from a fantasy perspective, if an opening day starter gets injured etc...what backup would have the most fantasy potential? thanks,
satelliteoflovegm
Brad Johnson, Billy Volek, Kelly Holcombe, Jamie Martin, Doug Flutie, and a sleeper maybe Seneca Wallace. In that order... Edited September 7, 2005 by satelliteoflovegm
BearcatGreg
Jon Kitna would be a great pick up. He put up big numbers in Palmer's absence last year.
T_bone65
Brad Johnson, Billy Volek, Kelly Holcombe, Jamie Martin, Doug Flutie, and a sleeper maybe Seneca Wallace. In that order... 972027[/snapback] I would throw Kitna in after Volek in that list. I like McMahon in Philly also but not as much as even Flutie at this point.
'canes2004
Brad Johnson has zero arm strength and his better days are over. He's been in the league a long time and looked pretty bad the last few years in Tampa. I think the top back-up is Volek, followed by Kitna and Rivers. A Little Bit Special
DraftSharks predicted that Cassell would beat out Flutie for the #2 job. Anyone know how that is going?

Zia
Kitna, Billy Volek, Kelly Holcombe, Jamie Martin, McMahon, Brad Johnson, Matt Schaub and a sleeper maybe Seneca Wallace. in that order, but with a huge dropoff after Holcombe

I still vote Volek the best though.
Todd1
Volek and Kitna are proven starters, if you want a deep sleeper, cuz it ain't gonna happen, I bet Craig Nall would light it up with GB. Not that I'd carry him on my roster, but if Favre got hurt, I'd run to the waiver wire for Nall.
PaulOttCarruth
Another vote for Volek and Kitna. Might also add Maddox to the list.
pork chop express
gotta go Volek as well. also, gotta give a nod to Brad Johnson. He plays indoors and has great receivers to throw to.

JDE357
Kyle Orton..... Picked him up in a 20 team league....thought I had no backup, now at least I have some points! Just hope they're not negative pts.
Clubfoothead
Volek followed by Kitna.

Sleepers would be Todd Collins & Jim Sorgi.
KUBJPO01
I'd say Volek based on his performance last yr. filling in for McNair.
