Dallas Clark

Recommended Posts

Word is he will return to practice tomorrow and should play on Sunday.

I will have a post later this week detailing it, but the Colts TE's usually score against Jacksonville.

Did Clark practice today?

Yes. Although still listed as questionable on the early injury report, he practiced and said he will definitely play against Jacksonville.

Captain - probably belongs in the advice forum, but since we're on the topic... I can start Clark or a WR. WRs include: Lelie, Muhammed and Stokley. Lelie's a must-start, and I'm leaning towards going with Stokley. Can't decide whether or not to sit Muhammed for Clark or not. Two lower-rung Colt receivers starting the same week? Hmmm... :D Color me perplexed.

I think Stokley would be your better start. Manning obviously is still going to use him a lot. He was the leading receiver against Baltimore in Week 1 with 7 catches for 83 yards. While I think the odds of Dallas scoring are very good, Stokley will most likely have more catches and yards.

edit: Oops. Didn't read your question carefully enough. I would start Clark over Muhammad as well.

Thanks, I'll stick with that... I have Gonzo in this league, too. Can start up to 2 TEs, 1 in lieu of a WR... looking to trade one of my TEs for a WR upgrade... :D

Thanks again.

Clark will be called a BUST by season end, maybe by week 3.

Unless he's got a case of the "drops", it would be tough to call any receiver on the Colts a "bust" when he's got Peyton throwing to him. Manning is just too good.

agreed, but how can you succeed when you are constantly injured?...i still can't call him a bust no matter what happens this season..

Injuries are definitely a concern with Clark. The only way I can see him being a "bust" is if he continues to get injured.

In his rookie year, he broke his leg against NE and missed the final four games of the year. He also missed a couple weeks with hamstring injuries (I think) earlier that same year.

Last year he only missed one game due to a strained calf.

This year, he has missed one game (so far) with a concussion.

yea, I hear more about him being injured than him making plays...

hopefully he'll do better as I have him on my roster but I've picked up Troupe and Watson in case I want to trade him in a package deal to upgrade at WR

Not sure myself, maybe he's skeptical of Clark because of his injuries and past inconsistency when Pollard was still there. He dropped Clark and picked up Chris Baker and his other TE is Heath Miller. I agree it was a bad move, but I'll gladly upgrade my backup TE from Cooley to Clark because of it. :D

Maybe you should check them again:

Gonzo and the Chiefs = Week 5

Clark and the Colts = Week 8
