Swiss Cheezhead
I'm all for people having their picks in on time. I don't know if the penalty you guys have been talking about is appropriate, though. Isn't the winner judged on winning percentage? I mean, some weeks there are only a couple of really good lines, so it could actually be an advantage to make fewer picks. As for the deadline, I say we make it Thursday midnight ET as well. If there's a Thursday game (maybe one more this season?), we should just do it as crispy described. And, by the way, for those of us who can't access www.thegreek.com at work, I'll continue to make crispy's e-mails look pretty and send them out to everybody. I know I referenced my list a lot while I sat at my desk twiddling my thumbs. Edited September 17, 2005 by Swiss Cheezhead

DKF
Bucs/Bills under 35.5: I definitely want to see this game! The Bucs completely punked Daunte Culpepper last week. Tampa looks better than I thought they would be. The Bills defense shut down the Texans. 2 very good defenses with average offenses. Both teams have great young rb's, and neither will be able to run the ball. This will be another game played close to the vest, with the team making the most misques losing in a nail biter. Bills 20 Bucs 13 997340 I think you need to temper this. Remember the Bucs picked up Hovan, who would have a pretty good read on the Minn o-line. Swiss Cheezhead
Wow...rough week for everybody. At first glance, Chavez is the only one who will be over .500 for Week 2. I don't know how the Ravens only managed 10 points against the Titans. I think the real Jamal Lewis is still in jail. I'm still wondering how I didn't win the under bet on the Eagles/9ers game. McNabb stayed in long enough to throw FIVE TDs? Plus, if the freakin' San Fran defense could have kept Lamar freaking Gordon out of the end zone and forced a field goal at the end of the game, I still would have won. Oh well. crispirons
3-1 - whoot. Actually, I'm VERY surprised that Baltimore didn't cover; I thought that one was a 1003748 the very reason it lost probably. sort of like my pick of the colts over 13.5 pts scored for the first half. when manning was picked at the goal line on the opening drive, i basically knew i was going to be a loser. even doc holladay pointed out how it was a sucker bet. at least it was cherry flavored and had gum in the middle. perhaps i resort to last yrs tactics, pile on the dogs and go the opposite way of what you believe will happen. time to put operation opposite george in effect. Dr. Sacrebleu
It is a sad start for the Betting League. Last year I thought the various bettors could spark some ideas for fellow huddlers looking to place a couple of bets throughout the season. Since we were almost all in the + column, and some with a pretty impressive record I thought posting here was a good idea. As of week 2, only godtom would be making money in Vegas, and 8 guys would be handing over the dough (a .500 record is a losing record because of the vig). But the season is very very young. and frankly I'm heading in the right direction. Will be taking all of your money very soon
spain
3-1 this week for the master! I took all unders and the 1 game that i thought was my sure lock, Bears/Lions under, was the only game I lost. That brings me back to .500 and right in the heat of the battle. I noticed that I tend to pick better after about 6 crown and cokes...
godtomsatan
godtomsatanbuffalo +2 buffalo over 35.5 washington +6 arizona -1 994353 In the spirit of fairness, and good betting karma, especially after getting worked over like an escort at a dental convention on Sunday, I wanted to point out that I didn't go 2-2. I went 1-3, with the 'skins saving my ass last night from an embarrassing shutout. Dock a point from my total.

crispirons
Hah! Who is the homosexual NOW? 1006434 you must remember that it was sac that called you and spain the homosexual deathmarch or whatever it was. actually for the frenchie, it was pretty gosh darn funny. plus, having met you and your lovely (bigfooted) wife, i know your no homo. u may have a bigfoot fetish, but thats nothing to be ashamed of. personally, i prefer a big foot to a small dainty little one myself. unless its a dainty little woman we are talking about. we can start a bigfooted womens fanclub. we could recruit peggy hill from king of the hill. (did you see the episode i'm talking about??? very funny.)
Chavez
Notice I was highlighting Froggy's scores? It wasn't directed at you, my man. As far as Mrs Chavez' big feet, I tell people they're to help her balance - so that her big hooter don't make her pitch forward all the time.
