goose228
I only drafted 1 TE and it was a rookie at that. Heath Miller. I need some depth here or possibly a starter if Heath only gets 1 or 2 balls thrown his way. Jeb Putzier had 11 balls thrown his way compared to Alex Smiths's 5. Although 2 of those were for TD's. So I ask who would you pick up? 1 pt per catch 6 pts per TD 1 pt per 10 yds receiving Alex Smith or Jeb Putzier??

weekapaug
Putz isn't all that bad. I drafted him as my backup, then dropped him for Chris Baker. The Stephen Alexander thing doesn't seem to be hurting him so far.
junta
putz is more of the middle of the field TE... possession TE--- they dont seem to use him in the red zone....
Doc Holliday
I would probably start either over Heath Miller. I think Putzier has the biggest upside here.the Broncos like to use their TE's. I thought Stephen Alexander would take over as the main pass recieving TE. it looks like I could be wrong.
yo mama
With 1 ppr, you take Putzier. The reason is two fold: First, he was targeted in the passing game 12 times last week - the MOST of any TE. Only the top 10 WRs and Westbrook saw more passes. Second, Putzier was targeted twice in the red zone. No TE saw more than two. And only two WRs (and zero RBs) got more than two. Call me crazy, but I like them numbers. ts
Gruden loves his TEs in the red zone ... Smith is no Gonzo, but he should get enough goal line looks to make him a viable starter every week.
