I'm in a two-keeper league, ... standard point system. Had a rough last year, but sitting little better now.

The owner of Priest Holmes has offered to trade him to me for LJ.

What to do?

We play 2 RB's, or 2 Wide outs, and 1 Tight End, 1 QB, 1 D, 1 QB.

I have.

McNabb

(and Eli)

Cadillac

Portis

LJ

W. Dunn

Housh

McCardell

...

Do I continue to play two of my RBs, ... and retain LJ for the future? Or do I make the trade.

Even with the two keepers for next year, ... not necessarily true that LJ would be one?

Regards, Brews Bruisen

Keep LJ w/ next year in mind unless you'd rather start Holmes <consistant 90+/1TD> over your other RB's.

hard call-

How about trading Portis and a 3WR for Holmes? That's a quick thought that might get blown down by others, but just an idea...

Straight up? That's a first for 2005!

Not too familiar with keeper leagues so I really can't help.

I wouldn't do this, for 2 reasons.

First, LJ is probably the best player in a keeper league. He's the #8 RB as a part time player this year, and was a monster down the stretch last year. If I had the #1 pick in a redraft next year and Holmes retired, I would take LJ in a heartbeat (considering he's not hurt, of course).

Second, I just don't think Holmes will play out the season. He'll definitely be hurt. I'll take a full schedule of choosing between Caddy, Portis, and LJ, and sit pretty through the playoffs without chewing my nails off worrying if the lynchpin to my team's success is going to play next week.
