San Diego Chargers IDP

Well Bolt fans (and Bolt IDP owners), this is a HUGH game. Monday Night stage. Quality opponent. Coming off a HUGH win against another quality AFC opponent. Back-to-back wins against the AFC elite would be the impetus needed to rip through the AFC West and into the playoffs.

Linebackers

Another week, another ringing endorsement for the Charger linebackers. Donnie Edwards will again anchor the defense and will surely rack up the tackles against the triple-headed Steeler RB monster. The remainder of the Charger linebackers had very pedestrian stats against the Patriots, but that game was somewhat of an anomoly. Expect the Steelers to keep it close, pound the ball and utilize the short passing game. That said, the entire Charger linebacking corps may be worth starting, depending on your league's scoring system and size. See below for projected stats, and start/bench accordingly.

Projected Stats:

Donnie Edwards - 10 solo tackles, 3 assisted tackles, 1 fumble recovery

Steve Foley - 3 solo tackles, 1 assisted tackle, 1 sack

Randall Godfrey - 5 solo tackles, 1 assisted tackle

Ben Leber - 2 solo tackles, 2 assisted tackles

Shawne Merriman - 2 solo tackles, 1 assisted tackle

D Line

And once again, the Charger D-line remains virtually unusable, fantasy-wise. Since I nearly nailed their tackle totals to a tee last week, the projections won't change. Leave them on your league's waiver wire.

Projected Stats:

Luis Castillo - 1 solo tackles, 2 assisted tackles

Igor Olshansky - 1 solo tackle

Jacques Cesaire - 2 solo tackles, 1 assisted tackle

Jamal Williams - 1 solo tackle, 2 assisted tackles

Defensive Backs

DB Terrence Kiel had another solid outing on Sunday, although not quite as big as I anticipated. Expect him to have yet another solid effort come Monday night, as the Charger defense will have to be firing on all cylinders in order to win.

Projected Stats:

Terrence Kiel - 7 solo tackles, 3 assisted tackles

Bhawoh Jue - 3 solo tackles, 1 assisted tackle

Quentin Jammer - 2 solo tackles, 1 assisted tackle, 1 pass defended

Drayton Florence - 2 solo tackles, 2 assisted tackles

Start/Bench

As noted above, you could get away with starting any Charger LB this week, depending on the size of your league. Donnie Edwards and Terrence Kiel are the lone "must starts", with Randall Godfrey being a "solid start". The remainder of the Charger linebackers could be considered sleepers in deeper leagues.

The Infirmary

The official injury report has not come out, so do your own due diligence if you have issues. There were several Bolts on the injury report for their battle with the Patriots, including: LB Shaun Philliips, CB Quentin Jammer and LB Steve Foley. Phillips is an also-ran, so don't sweat him. You shouldn't be starting Jammer, so don't worry about that. If by chance you're a Foley owner, he ended up playing, so check his injury status for this week later in the week.

The Water Cooler

Bolt homers are impressed with the play of FS Bhawoh Jue. He's got the size of a linebacker, and yet still has good speed to play the FS spot.

That's it for now, IDP geeks! :D Check back later in the week for possible updates... otherwise, have a fantastic Week 5.

Take it from a Packers fan -- STAY AWAY FROM BHAWOH JUE. He sucks. If he ends up with 80 solos this year, that means he should have had 160, since he whiffs on about 50% of his tackle opportunities. He's also no good in coverage.

Remember KC's overtime win over the Pack in '03, which ended on Kennison's 60-yard catch-and-run? Bhawoh Jue got toasted.

Remember Todd Pinkston's game-winning TD catch in the 4th-quarter of the Eagles/Packers game in '03? Bhawoh Jue couldn't cover a 2-yard out pattern.

4th-and-26??? Bhawoh Jue tackled Freddie Mitchell RIGHT as he crossed the 1st-down line.

HE SUUUUUUCKS!!!!!!!!! *($^*&%#(&%(@*@%
