This is where the WCOFF is this year, how is the hotel?

On maps, looked like it was on the strip across from Circus Circus, is this true?

Is it nice? I don't remember it too much... is it a remodeled old one?

Need to decide if I am going to stay there or somewhere else, the past 2 years it has been at the Hilton by the convention center, and that place is a friggin DUMP way off the strip.

It is across from C-C.

Unless it has changed over the last few years, it ain't that great. The Hilton probably has better rooms. I have never stayed there, but that is what I have heard. The last time I was in their casino (7-8 years ago), it was crowded and really smoky! It's probably 1.5 miles from Caesar's.

BTW, if I remember correctly the location is good (right in the heart of things) and the Casino itself was acceptable. I also saw the Crazy Girls show which was pretty cool if you like hot topless chics with thongs on dancin around and singin for your enjoyment.

Its at the end with The Shara, Circus, and the Stratosphere.

Pretty long walk to the middle of the strip (Mirage, etc.)

This website has pretty good casino reviews depite the web address Riviera Reiew

From the review

Less than twenty years ago, this was the biggest casino in the world, and one of the brightest jewels in Las Vegas' crown. Then in the 1990's, the town went really nuts with huge resorts, and the poor li'l Riv got left in the dust. It's still an okay hotel, but lacks the luxury of the newer places. The casino used to be a lot of fun, with tons of live gaming, but nowadays you see a lot more slots and the crowd tends to be a little older and quieter.

Riviera: Ok location. At this point one of the old standbys on the strip...nothing bright or flashy about it. I am sure WCOFF is there because they got a great deal...

And all this time I thought free was a good deal. Not in Vegas I guess. :D

:D Can't beat free, that's for sure! And while me and BC appreciate staying with ya, I just might opt for a place that actually has a casino this time... :D Nothin' like gettin' the jones at 4am and going down to win some money!

H8....FWIW, the Flamingo Road hotels are ~1.5 miles (walking) up the strip. There is a bus that will take you to the door, checkout the tram (but frankly the walk to and from that will put you half way there anyway), or taxis for probably ~$8 per trip are the fastest, but they'll probably go the Paradise Rd. route to avoid the strip. frankly, for my $$$, the Hilton was probably a better location. The MGM, considering room size would have been a much better location. Just my $.02 worth.

preciate the info RR, but the shemale will be with me, and she needs room service, spa, in room movies, and luxury.

Luxor is the best price/value out there IMO. Mandalay bay was the best. Last year we did NYNY, we didn't like it, and I knew I wouldn't.

She got suckered into staying at Imperial Palace last year... lol, she was so pissed staying at that dump.

I stayed at the stat for one night, that was a dump too, and at the end of the earth. Might as well have been in Reno.

I dunno, I'm hung up on Paris, Ballys, and Flamingo. The room is quiet and clean! All of their casinos are friendly, but the Flam is the best in that regard. That's all I need, plus it's in the middle of all the action.

Mandalay is top notch, but so are the prices. Stay at the Flamingo. If you don't like it, rip me on the boards. Khloe, Kim and Kourtney Kardashian!

Very true. When I was in LV last for a VoIP conference, I was at the Hilton and the f'n monorail down to the Strip was out of action. :D

Stayed at the Riveria in May 2005 for the 8-ball pool tourney. The NEW rooms are nice but we got stuck in the old part inside the casino, our friends got there 2 days before us and got better rooms.

Its at the end of the strip but the WYNN is next to it. (do the buffett WYNN style). loooooong walk to NY/NY we just cabbed it. comedy show was good at Riveria but gambling floor is just ok.. If the wife like pampering dont go there..
