Ursa Majoris
There is currenly no better product on the market than Panda Antivirus + Antispyware 2006. This is not up to discussion. This is a simple and plain fact. If you use mcaffee, you might as well be using nothing, why do you think AOL users get it for free. Norton is, and always has been 'decent' for antivirus, but does practically NOTHING for spyware, which is what is causing most ALL of the headaches out there now. Virus were designed and written with malicious intent, spyware is made to make money, and make millions they do. Panda is a VERY agressive antivirus, and also a VERY good, if not THE best at deteting and eliminating spyware. Best thing about it? You can buy the OEM copy for about $10. I'll sell you one for $15 shipped if you want. Lulu and Bear Fatty? You guys need to install mcaffee and go smoke some browneyes. 1287566 I always try to separate the advice threads from the rough-and-tumble threads, but in this case I'll make an exception. Go f*ck yourself. Point out to me where I advised McAfee? It's the worst POS on the market and should never be installed anywhere. Also, relying on one product to do it all is inadvisable, IMO. Get an AV for AV, get an anti-spyware product for spyware. Companies that do one thing tend to do it well - it is why I use specialist programs here at work to protect our systems. There's no problem using Panda for AV and spyware, but I would advise a separate AS product running alongside.

Ursa Majoris
Which one?You have the buttons. I have the manual. 1287616 I use Pest Patrol. It nails pretty much everything coming in uninvited. I also use the MS freebie (used to be Giant's). Keep pushing the buttons - it doesn't take me long to type "go f*ck yourself". This is a simple and plain fact. 1287566 Easy for you to say. Spent the better part of 2 hours trying to get rid of that program. Figured what the heck... let's download Panda and take it for a spin. So, unfortunately, I did. Did everything according to the instructions. First time try... the program wouldn't respond. Second time try... took about 10 minutes for it to finally load up. Let it do it's thing. Locked up after it was done and had to hard boot. After the boot nothing would work. Not my Norton, not solitare, not the Internet, not even Control Panel. Finally, after a couple more hard boots.... got Contol Panel to work (though nothing else) and tried to remove Panda... my machine told me good luck on that and locked up tighter than a... well.. locked up tight. Another hard boot. After more tries and hard boots finally got it removed. Once it was gone... bang... everything is back to working. So while it may be a great program for you.... I was not impressed in how it worked for me. I will continue to use Norton Firewall and A/V and continue to use a third party spyware deleter. I am sure that I made many errors in trying to use the program... but following the instructions ain't rocket science..... and it probably works just fine for others. Just not me... and it made no attempt to make me feel warm and fuzzy.

NSab
I turned everything off. Nothing was running at all. 1287819 Norton probably caused the conflicts, I have had problems with Noton and conflicts in the past.
