Grits and Shins
This morning navigating to the team reports on the home page I got 2 pop-ups One had the address of www.bolt.com, the other was for "windows casino". Then when I attempted to navigate here I got 2 more pop-ups - http://creative.adsrevenue.net/personalweb/full.htm and www.tipany.com/terry/testingtoday <--- talking ad! Quote Link to comment
MikesVikes
Here is one that I got this morning. It attempted to download a file called pre.emf from Adgate.info Since I'm at work, it must be similar to this. I had to close down IE because The Huddle Forum page was locked. I've never had pop ups at work before that wanted to download files. If it was at home, it could've been from many other sources from who knows when. rajncajn
I have Google Popup Blocker enabled on my browser & for the first time today I've noticed an abundance of popups being blocked. I clicked to allow one so that I could inform you about it and it said it was from ad.yieldmanager.com. Quote Link to comment
Puddy
http://www.personalinternetpharmacy.com/5968/ I'm getting them today whenever I navigate between forums. Every time. Quote Link to comment

I have 3rd-party cookies blocked and my reports are that they are the ones trying to set most of those nefarious cookies. Quote Link to comment
Swampnuts
I get tagged constantly with yieldmanager, view.atdmt.com, and creative.adsrevenue.net. Quote Link to comment

Hitman
Surfing around the huddle as usual this morning , click the back button, and all of the sudden I get this: Popup I have the volume at "a reasonable volume", so some guy in the add goes on a 5 minute spill about how lucky I am, and I get to choose my free product. In amusement, I sit here and listen to the add, wondering how long this guy is going to keep talking. I'm sure I really was a "lucky guy" and only 1 in a 1000 huddlers are getting this, but just wanted to let you guys know. BTW, I'm sure a simple pop-up blocker would have taken care of it, but I have mine disabled at work. Just a heads up. It's definitely "invading" in nature. As I finish this post, I notice I'm getting the popups in bunches of 4 or so at a time. This is not good.... Quote Link to comment
Menudo
Ran into my first problems this morning. A popup came up with 4 segmented windows with ads in each. When I closed the ad, 3 more pop-ups came up. Sorry, I didn't get the sites, but, if it happens again, I will make note of them. Quote Link to comment
rocknrobn26
I've been running all morning, no problems yet. I even disabled 'No Script'. BTW...there is an update for firefox. Edit for: This thing seems to be acting like the flu....some are getting nailed and some aren't. Interesting. Edited June 2, 2006 by rocknrobn26 Quote Link to comment
yo mama
Switching to firefox has helped a lot. Added spybot to adaware, which can't hurt. Quote Link to comment
WJW
Thanks guys. We are compiling all this info with stuff from the other posts to pass along to our ad provider. This will be a big help as they hunt down the offending clients. Quote Link to comment
yo mama
I'm not sure what this means (if anything) but I just ran Spybot search and destroy and found three problems labeled "firefox (default): ehg-thehuddle.hitbox.com" No idea if that's a problem, or not. But thought I'd share. Edited June 2, 2006 by yo mama Quote Link to comment

Completely harmless... unless of course you don't want us knowing what pages within The Huddle site you hit... Quote Link to comment

Rovers
For whatever it is or isn't worth.... still no pop ups for me, but I don't see any banner ads either. I'm running IE, with Norton AV, MS anti spy ware, Webroot anti spy ware and webroot Window Washer, which is a pop up blocker. Those all run actively. I sweep with those, as well as spy bot and Alluria anti spy ware. It seems that the Window Washer program is blocking the banner ads...? Maybe it sees them as pop-ups? Don't know if this is helpful ot not, but, I figured I'd mention it. That program does not notify me if something has been blocked. Quote Link to comment
BYoder
I logged out of the forums for a while and when I just logged back in I got five pop-ups in a row. Each time I loaded a new page in the Tailgate I got one of the following pop-ups http://66.48.78.222/ron/getronz.php?sid=&n...559207&servern= http://66.48.78.222/ron/getronz.php?sid=&n...511&servern=123 http://www.personalinternetpharmacy.com/5197/ http://66.48.78.222/ron/getronz.php?sid=&n...959&servern=123 http://66.48.78.222/ron/getronz.php?sid=&n...120&servern=123 Quote Link to comment
