Flip_Side
Did really well with your questions last week. I'm ready for a lot more, so let's roll! Post your WDIS's with Matchups and Scoring System
penguin Lancer
T.Jones Vs Bills C.Taylor Vs Det F.Taylor Vs NYJ C.Williams Vs NO 1pt per 10 yards rushing/recieving. 6 pts for a TD. CiminoUM5
Not a WDIS, but hopefully you can help me out with some trade advice... My 12 team PPR league, 10 yards per rush point, 15 per receiving, 1 pt per reception. Starts 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR. I've got: QB - Eli, B Johnson RB - Willis, Gore, Jordan WR - Ward, Jennings, Re. Williams, Evans, D. Mason TE - Winslow, Watson K - Kaeding D - KC, Seattle He's got: QB - Rivers, Hasselbeck RB - Dunn, Rhodes, Jones-Drew, M. Anderson, M. Morris WR - S. Smith, Berrian, Colston, Bryant TE - Gonzalez (& Colston) K - Carney D - NO, Indy This guy posted a notice that he needs a RB. Jennings and Williams have helped boost what has been an otherwise awful WR corps, and I'd love to nab Smith with this being a PPR league. Problem is that I don't have much RB depth, and there's really no one on his list (minus Dunn) who I'd feel comfortable starting when one of my guys has a bye week. There are, however, some decent options on waivers. Dayne, Gado, Jacobs, and Mi. Robinson are some of the better choices out there. Should I risk my RB depth and trade one of my guys (Gore or Jordan) for Smith? If so, which guy do I trade? I think Gore might be able to get it done, and it sounds more and more like Robinson is going to get all the goalline carries so I think Gore's value could take an enormous hit in the coming weeks. I'm not sold on Jordan being "back" yet and Oakland's offense is awful, but I don't know if he's going to be enough to get the trade done (plus I believe he's facing some pretty bad run Ds in the upcoming weeks). Though seeing as how he'd have a pretty thin WR corps if he made the trade, I could throw in one of mine with Jordan and see if he bites. Thoughts? desertdawgs
Standard Performance Scoring QB position has been killing me this year and this week i need to start one out of Brunell, Leinart, or Pennington. I don't think im going to go with Leinart just yet. So its really just our of Brunell or Pennington Brunell @ NYG Pennington @ JAC Also, I am starting Portis if that changes anyones opinion. Thanks in advance

Also who would you start for WR. D.Driver or G.Jennings? I'm guessing you need 2 of those RB's? If that's right go C.Taylor and Caddy. Caddy hasn't performed well but I think this is the week he sees the rock quite a bit with Gradkowski(sp?) at QB. The Vikes said they want to get Chester involved a lot more this week and I expect him to have a big game Vs Detroit. Driver is questionable, even if he plays he's banged up pretty bad. Go Jennings, Favre loves the kid.

I wouldn't do it, your WR's now will get the job done. If you did the trade that would leave you with only 2 viable RB's week in and week out. I wouldn't touch those RB's on the waiver wire at all, stay put it's not worth it imo.

Brunell did just torch Jacksonville in the passing game, but I just don't see them giving up too much yards back to back weeks.
Tega
A teamowner e-mailed me stating that he needs a wr and we need a rb. We're in a redraft/performance league that gives 6 pts for rushed or rec tds (more pts for longer tds); 3pts for 15 carries (2 more for 25 carries); 4pts for every 4 rec; 1 pt for every 25 rushed; 1pt for every 25 rec. We have to play 1qb, 2rbs, 3 wrs, 1te, 1k, 1def/spt every week. His rbs: J Jones, K Jones, Maroney, Drew-Jones, Portis, Norwood My rbs: S Alexander, Gore, C Taylor, Dayne, Musa Smith, Leon Washington My wrs: Holt (wk7 bye), Housh, Wayne, Colston (wk7 bye), Cotchery Would you make a trade offer if you were us? If so, who would give up and who would you ask for? If that trade offers, would you make another trade offer? Also - who do you think has less value - Musa Smith or Leon Washington? If we gave up a wr, we would have to drop a rb and pick up a wr off of waivers. Thanks Flip Side!
Tega
I have McNabb. I'm going to use him unless he gets injured (knock on wood) or if he has his bye wk (9). My backup qb is McNair. I was thinking of dropping him for Frye, Leftwich, or Carr. Leftwich has Tenn when McNabb has his bye week. That could be huge for Leftwich or his rbs may just run all night. Leftwich has the best schedule. Frye runs the tds in too. Carr is improving. How would you rank McNair, Frye, Leftwich, Carr for the rest of the season. redraft/performance scoring. 4pts for passed tds, 6pts for rushed tds (more pts for tds if they're longer tds). 1 pt for every 50 yds passing. Thanks again Flip Side!

I don't know your the manager of your team. I will tell you this though, your WR depth is good. You could probably deal away one of them without taking too much of a hit at WR. It's up to you which RB of his you wanna go after. When you find out let me know and I'll tell you if you should do it or not, sorry. Flip_Side
Pick two RB's Maroney vs MIA Edge vs KC C. Taylor vs DET Total yards league w/ 6 PT TD's Thanks! Maroney- should have a MONSTER game, the Fins give up huge yardage. Edge- This might be one of the real good games he has this season. With Leinart back there, I think there will be a lot of handoffs to Edge. He should do pretty good.

I ADDED SOME SIDE COMMENTS FOR ENTERTAINMENT VALUE (SEE MY SIG LINE FOR POINT SYSTEM USED) HERE IS MY LINEUP REQUIREMENT: 1QB, 1RB, 2WR, 1TE, 1K, 1DST and 1FLEX (TE-RB-WR) Smith, Alex (GOOD MATCHUP VS. Rhodes, Dominic (no brainer here) THEY PLAY THE TITANS ;-) (RHODES WILL OWN THE FIRST HALF / ADDAI WILL OWN THE SECOND HALF) or something like that Boldin, Anquan (dunno? thoughts of benching have crossed my mind) only player avail on waivers worth grabbing for week 5 is Greg Lewis VS. DALLAS or Marcus Robinson VS. DETROIT. Zona plays at home VS. THE CHIEFS, but Leinert is still very green) Furrey, Mike VS. VIKES (just picked him up. HE'S HOT!!! taking my chances here over Rod Smith against the Ravens) Johnson, Eric (banking on the niners bouncing back and taking care of the RAIDERS on all cylinders) Hall, John VS. GIANTS (only decent kicker avail. Graham is on a bye) Ravens DEF (monday night vs. broncos) best defense! ----------------------------------- Jones-Drew, Maurice (started him last week and WON!) he was the reason i actually won. BROWNS may get some extra playing time cause it's the browns? will this be one of those "breakout games?" (waiting patiently for Foster to go down) Smith, Rod vs. RAVENS!! (not feeling him-Furrey is a sexier start ;-)) Miller, Heath VS. CHARGERS (not sure either. i like e. johnson's matchup better then Heath vs. chargers. Flip_Side
Who should I start? QB Favre vs Rams Kitna at Vikes #3 WR (Pick 1) Driver vs. Rams Fitz vs Chiefs Gabriel vs Fins Chambers at Pats Thanks for the help. Favre, had a horrible week last week but should bounce back for sure against the Rams. I'd go Gabriel. Driver is questionable, and if he plays who knows how much action he'll see. Fitz has Leinart throwing the rock too him now, and the Chiefs have been really tight on defense lately. Chambers has Culpepper throwing it too him, if Carson couldn't throw on the Pats why would Daunte be able too? Go Gabriel because Miami gives up yardage like crazy, they will not be able to cover Gabriel.

Tega
I'm back Flip Side. You were wondering if I was the manager of the team. I am, but I share the team with my husband. I get caught often saying "my" and "our." I try to just say, "my," but I often slip. Sorry about that. My husband hardly ever looks up info or asks questions - that's why I do. To repeat: I'm in a redraft/performance scoring league which includes 4pts for every 4 rec. 6pts for tds (more pts for longer tds). My WRs: Holt, Housh, Wayne, Colston, Cotchery. My RBs: Saun Alexander, Gore, Chester Taylor, Dayne, Musa Smith, Leon Washington. I spoke with the other teamowner. The only way he would give up Portis is if I gave up Holt. I don't want to do that. He has no interest in Cotchery. He was willing to trade one of the following: Julius Jones, Kevin Jones, M Drew-Jones, Norwood, Maroney- for one of the following: Housh, Colston, Wayne. Maybe I'm wrong, but I just have this feeling that Reggie Wayne has less value right now than Housh or Colston. I think that the lack of running game is hurting Wayne. What do you think? How would you rank Houshmandzadeh, Colston, Wayne? I have them in the order I rank them in. Would you pick up JJ, KJ, or Maroney? If yes, please rank the ones you would pick up. To note: Julius Jones is the only one of his RBs that I'm interested in who already has his bye week. None of my Wrs have a their bye wk yet. Reggie Wayne has a bye the week I go up against this teamowner. Thanks a lot Flip Side! Edited October 5, 2006 by Tega
