BigMikeinNY
By the way big mike , we both have the worse sigline in the huddle right now I would rather be tied to a chair while recieving Chinese water torture while being forced to listen to a nonstop feed of Bill Walton than have this sigline right now, it's killing me! Mike P.S. When can we take it off?

Sleeping King
What an 8th inning...but we still need to get 3 more outs... Just a pitiful performance by Oki and Papelbon. The only plus was that even with the double to Damon, Gagne looked the best he has for the Red Sox all season. Francona should have went to Delcarmen after Oki gave up the two homeruns. irish
Wow who would have ever thought JD freaking Drew would get a hit in an important situation. That's just the thing he didn't get it, Cano gave it to him. Should've been a groundout. V-Tec down on strikes. 2 more and the great comeback will be complete! Sleeping King
Sutcliffe is a retard. Did he just blame the game on Matsuzaka. Okijima was dreadful and Papelbon was not much better.

Francona is going to get ripped in the papers and talk radio tomorrow. Why did he play this game as if the Sox were chasing the Yankees instead of the other way around?? Sleeping King
Francona is going to get ripped in the papers and talk radio tomorrow. Why did he play this game as if the Sox were chasing the Yankees instead of the other way around?? Because Francona has moments of brilliance followed by games where he can do nothing right. He had all sorts of mistakes tonight. Leaving Matsuzaka in worked out but Timlin should have been in much earlier. Delcarmen should have came in for Oki, and the biggest blunder of the night was sending Crisp with a hurt hip. Oh well Beckett gets to cement his status as the Cy Young tomorrow. BigMikeinNY
that game was managed HORRIBLE by the Red Sox. Why would Paplebon even be brought in to record 6 outs with a 6 run lead? The bullpen should not get the loss there, the Red Sox Mangerial staff should get it. Yanks are 4 1/2 out BigMike

After tonight, I don't know how tomorrow can live up to the hype but I sure can't wait to find out. This time of year is just awesome. The Pennant races, football's in full swing, what more can you ask for?
sundaynfl
Great game!! I could hear it all the way through the 7th inning; Sox fans saying "We are significant, we are significant Oh, wait we suck!! Damn were we lucky in 04 or what??" The Babe must have been distracted by an angel with a beer and a braut in 04....

Puddy
DAMN IT!!!! The Tigers remain 3 1/2 back in the WC. I watched the Yanks go up 8 - 7 and went to bed, knowing it was over. Tigers have gone 8-2 over the last 10 and haven't made up one single game on the Yankees.
