whomper
I'm starting to think that Whomp asked his question just to set-up this reply No..I actually get stumped on that question and have to think about it a lot when sending emails..The Play on words was just an added bonus to having my question answered..Good day to you sir. keggerz
Grammar question: Which of these is correct?: 1) ...if I were one of the famous people, who the world seemed to adore so much. 2)...if I were one of the famous people, whom the world seemed to adore so much. Egret
"whom," no comma. however, you don't need it. it's implied. it makes perfect sense to say, "... if i were one of the famous people the world seemed to adore so much ..." Ding ding ding!
Easy n Dirty
"whom," no comma. however, you don't need it. it's implied. it makes perfect sense to say, "... if i were one of the famous people the world seemed to adore so much ..." Agree that this is the correct answer, but I also agree with Coffeeman above - the wording is awkward and you should consider rewriting the entire sentence, IMHO.
