Would you have a problem with them doing a side bet for more cash, or something unrelated? If not, then why in the world would you have a problem with them hedging a bet like is done in Vegas all the time? That's all it was on my part... Hedging my bet. It was an unusual situation for me, in the sense that I felt very strongly that it was unlikely that I'd win the matchup. I've won several leagues over the years, and I've lost a few championship games as well, and I can't ever remember feeling that way. Usually, even if I'm the underdog, I still like my chances. This league, this year, not so much. Ironically, I won pretty easily. So, I guess shame on me for "doubting" my team.
