That said, if you can play like Knopfler, you're pretty damn good in your own right. Not everyone is or can be a complete original. I'm just bitter because Knopfler has a coupla multi-platinum records while Thompson is relegated to "cult status." Though since I don't personally get any $$$ from either, I should probably just be happy I can go see RT in 500-1000 seat clubs for $20 as opposed to having to fork out $75 for a nosebleed seat at the Enormodome.
