SheikYerbuti
A friend and I have had a tradition for the last 4 years or so. Just before the season starts, we swap e-mail with the following predictions. Figured this year I'd throw it out to all of you to fill in the blanks. Whoever gets the most right at the end of the season gets a free live goat (winner must pay shipping for the goat). Hit respond to this post and you won't have to copy/paste anything. godtomsatan
AL East - Boston AL Central - Detroit AL West - Seattle AL Wild Card - Cleveland NL East - New York NL Central - Milwaukee NL West - Colorado NL Wild Card - Atlanta World Series - Seattle over Milwaukee. Frankly, the playoffs are a crapshoot, and I have no idea how it will work itself out. I'll make the homer pick with the Mariners. I'm going out on a limb to predict that things will work their way. Erik Bedard and Felix Hernandez have the capacity to be the two best pitchers in the AL, and J.J. Putz is as dominant a closer as the league has. The offense is a gigantic question mark, and they need to replace Jose Gullen's production in the lineup, but I like the players they have in place and think they may have the right combo. AL MVP - Alex Rodriguez NL MVP - Matt Holliday AL Cy Young - Felix Hernandez NL Cy Young - Johan Santana AL Rookie of the Year - Jacoby Ellsbury NL Rookie of the Year - Jay Bruce
TDFFFreak
AL East - Boston AL Central - Detroit AL West - Angels AL Wild Card - Cleveland NL East - Phillies NL Central - Milwaulkee NL West - Dodgers NL Wild Card - Mets World Series - Boston over the Phillies Absolute homer spin here. I believe that if the Phillies pitching holds up, they can beat out the very tough Mets and Braves in the (toughest division in baseball) NL East. That said, I think the AL is stronger in the World Series and like Boston to take it all again. Edited March 27, 2008 by TDFFFreak

Sleeping King
No idea how I missed this thread but my preseason pick was 86 World Series rematch. Sox actually finish off the Mets in game 6 this time.

HowboutthemCowboys
Dodgers are playing pretty well. We'll see if it lasts. Kershaw called up today and did well. Andruw Jones will have surgery this week and is out until at least the all star break. Was'nt hitting his weight anyway. Kent's avg. is down to I believe .220. Furcal is dinged. They need some help...
