Primetime9287
Please Help guys! Is it worth it to trade a bunch of young talent to get a young RB in Maroney that has proved himself at the NFL level when healthy. I also get Morris in the deal so if Maroney misses time I dont lose an RB all together. Or do I take the risk on highly touted rookies that are still unproved + Croyle... Heres my Roster... Start 1 QB, 1 RB, 2 WRs, 2 Flex (RB, WR, TE) 1 K, 1 D/ST Garcia, Jeff TBB QB Henne, Chad MIA QB ® Manning, Eli NYG QB Brodie Croyle Addai, Joseph IND RB Bradshaw, Ahmad NYG RB Grant, Ryan GB RB Jacobs, Brandon NYG RB Smith, Kevin DET RB Washington, Leon NYJ RB White, LenDale TEN RB Doucet, Early ARI WR ® Engram, Bobby SEA WR Franklin, Will KCC WR ® Gaffney, Jabar NEP WR Hardy, James BUF WR Porter, Jerry JAC WR Williams, Roy DET WR Smith, Marcus BAL WR ® Walter, Kevin HOU WR Carlson, John SEA TE ® Cooley, Chris WAS TE Brown, Josh STL PK Bears D Bucs D
Zooty
I'd pass. Your opinion of Maroney is a lot higher than mine. You need another WR not another RB (assuming you'd go with 3 RBs, 2 WRs each week)
Primetime9287
I'd pass. Your opinion of Maroney is a lot higher than mine. You need another WR not another RB (assuming you'd go with 3 RBs, 2 WRs each week) Yeah i understand that. Im also in talks to trade Lendale and someone (maybe Washington) for Welker or Jennings (the guys who own these 2 have no RBs). If I do that it sures up my WRs since I have a lot of faith in Engram this year. It makes me really think about the possibility of a team consisting of 4 top 15-20 RBs...Addai, Grant, Jacobs/Bradshaw, Maroney/Morris, plus Roy, Jennings/Welker, Engram, Porter. I know I need a 2nd WR, but i also thought if i needed to, Maroney/Morris is tastier trade bait than KSmith/Hardy/Doucet.
Capt. Stanky
I'd do it. I think NE is going to run allot more this year. People forget that Maroney was coming off shoulder surgery at the begining of last year. He wasn't 100% until after mid-season. KSmith just doesn't look like an NFL back to me. When I watch highlights of the guy I think he will get killed in the NFL. He seems too small and runs too upright. That's really the only player of note you would be giving up. Bachi Boy
I'd pass. I had Maroney last year and I wanted to put a brick through my T.V. everytime I watched a NE game. Aside from the obvious passing every down (which I doubt they do this year), it was agonizing seeing Seau and Vrable come in for goal line work. You are stacked at RB. Maroney would get buried on your roster. See if you can get a more solidified WR in place of Maroney.

tonorator
keeper or redraft? if redraft, why not? smith might have an impact this season, but tatum will share carries. remember that tatum just got married and this is a contract year for him. he will be going all out, which could cut into smith's PT. hardy is intriguing, but rookie WRs rarely come in and have an impact season right off the bat. having said that, i would rather see you go for the WR. either jennings or welker would be a nice add (prefer welker given GB's QB drama). not sure why you are high on engram. dude is 35 with a history of injury problems. if keeper, i would say no. you are fine at RB for this season and the smith/hardy combo for the future looks pretty good.
