Brentastic
I posted this on fb awhile back. pretty cool track Yeah, I like them a lot. They're more like comedy rap, imo. Have you heard ? I like the sped up sample of the Billy Joel song, well done groove imo. This one cracks me up every time, though - . There are some clever rhyhmes in these songs. Not constantly but they're in there if you listen. Edited March 20, 2011 by Brentastic
Brentastic
I've recently been on a binge for old time gospel/soul (50s 60s). So far I've found some gems: I love this girls voice and the song makes you feel good - This is probably the best group I've found for what I like - ______________________________________________ ______________________________________________ This is another group/song that does it for me - Edited March 20, 2011 by Brentastic

Clubfoothead
If you like the band Gomez, they have a song from their upcoming new album that can can be downloaded for free. You have to give them an email address and then click the link from the email. Pretty good tune.
Azazello1313
I've recently been on a binge for old time gospel/soul (50s 60s). today I spend all day listening to the beach boys, "pet sounds". man, I don't think I really gave these guys the credit they deserve in the past. I knew this was supposedly their best album, I knew most of the songs, which are catchy and fine and everything. yeah yeah, whatever, it's the beach boys -- kinda shallow, kinda fun. but just sitting down and listening to the whole album start to finish several times, it just blew me away how GREAT an album that is. loaf
I'm in a big "bands that probably/most likely/did play at CBGB's" kick. One of my favorites from that would be Tom Robinson Band - 2-4-6-8- Motorway
Clubfoothead
I recently saw one of those with jane's addiction that was pretty great. Yep, it was awesome. I'm assuming the only reason to add Duff McKagan would be if another album is on the way. The one with the Cult was pretty darn good too. So that show is pretty much can't miss for me. Cameltosis
The new Foo Fighters album may be the best album they have ever put out. Solid start to finish with a couple of amazing efforts in it as well. I Should Have Known is probably my favorite song, although , featuring Bob Mould, is pretty awesome too. ETA: And as someone mentioned in a different thread, their documentary Back and Forth is definately worth a watch if you are a fan of the Foo.
